First year dating anniversary!

Well, do not laugh at me, but my GF and I just celebrated our first year together! We went to a nice restaurant and had dessert back home that I made. A really wonderful weekend! Can't believe how fast everything has been going, including moving together after 6 months. Who says that people become less flexible with increasing age ... LOL I am excited about this coming year, which will include looking for a new job, potentially moving to a new city and ... popping the question (in April)!

That is amazing news!!! The first year milestone is always a special one. Time sure does fly Rob, FF and I have been together 10 years. I don't know where the time went!!!

Thanks for all your congrats ... I am a very lucky guy. Yes, I can hardly wait to propose - I think that at least in theory I have the green light from my GF ... dating for at least four seasons was important to her (and I think wise in general). I have not looked at the ring for more than two months now and I am very proud of myself, haha!

Hey Freke -
We are (hopefully) going to Paris - a town I really love. I thought it may be nice to do it there. Plus I don't want to combine/make it too close to other events (incl. our one year anniversary, Christmas, her birthday in January and mine in February). Unless of course you ladies can comvince me to do it earlier ... :-) Oh - and on a good day I am 5'6.
 
happy anniversary rob!!! you really need to print out your posts to show your girlfriend how ecstatic you are about her as well as your relationship! i think she''s the lucky one! a paris proposal sounds sweet and romantic...keep us updated on your plans :).

Congrats Rob! Did you watch the True Life show about the guy who planned a surprise wedding for his FI in a chateau in France? It was sooooo sweet! I was watching at the gym and started bawling on the treadmill

Spending four seasons together is an EXCELLENT idea, and one that I followed with my boyfriend as well. I met him in summer 07. Since I had just gotten out of a long relationship and had been engaged previously when I met BF, I told him that I would not be making any major moves or life decisions (engagements, job changes, etc.) for four seasons. I wanted that time to get to know him better and to make sure that we both had what we truly wanted and needed from each other. By the time our official one year anniversary rolled around, it was summer again and I moved in. We are adjusting to living together quite well. I hope that you and your future fiance are having the same luck!

As a girl who just recently got proposed to in Paris (one of my favourite cities) hold out for it, the place just has a certain kind of magic.

And 5''6 isn''t that short! But this is coming from a girl who is 5''2. So take that for what it''s worth. I always figured that I''d be ok with dating anyone who is at least 5''5. Lol.

Need some good vibes today ... had to get one of my front center teeth taken out (long story - my gums suck big time) and now I am stuck with a temporary one (as part of a retainer-type insert) ... which I have to wear for 5-6 months! Good chance that I will be ugly for the proposal ...

Awww! Short and ugly?! You''re just being dramatic-I''m sure you''re a regular dreamboat! And I don''t mind a shorty-my fiance is an inch shorter than me! (I''m 5''8", he''s 5''7"!)

And you never know-maybe your girlfriend thinks guys with missing teeth are sexy! You can tell her you lost it in a bar fight or pretend you''re a pirate or something!
