Up for sale is an AMAZING pair of antique emerald and rose cut diamond 18k gold on silver chandelier earrings measuring just over 2 inches in length. Valued at $3600. Asking $2500 USD.
LT listing: https://loupetroop.com/listings/ear...d-chandelier-earrings-offers-considered;35707
What’s incredible about these is not only that the emeralds glow beautifully, but that the earrings convert into 3 separate pieces to pair and wear separately as the user chooses (the whole chandelier or part of it)—this is common in Georgian/Victorian jewelry where the wear may choose to wear the full earring set at night for fancy balls, but only wear a partial set during the day. Hence these are called day/night conversion earrings. It’s like getting 3 earrings for the price of one! Incredible history and ingenuity IMHO.
I tried to model all the different ways of wearing all the pieces together and separately below, and in natural (cloudy) daylight and indoor light conditions.
In good condition (age appropriate wear/abrasions to emeralds, some have surface reaching cracks as is typical for emeralds).
Hallmarks on gold allude to Spanish origin.
Comes with a full insurance evaluation report by GIA certified appraiser which reads: “One pair of day/night emerald and diamond earrings. The earrings are set with ten (10) emeralds (6 pear cut, 4 emerald cut) which have a total weight of 3.00 Ct. the emeralds are accented by thirty-four (34) rose cut diamonds which have a total weight of 0.75 ct. The earrings are set in 18kt yellow gold and silver.”
Weighs 21.43 grams.
Price quoted is for Paypal Friends and Family includes signature confirmation shipping.
US buyers only please.
All reasonable offers considered.
