So...I stole someone elses idea from these boards. I wish I remember who it was so I could properly thank them. I just ordered 60 pairs of flip flops from Old Navy (on sale for $1 each) to set out in buckets at my wedding for all of the ladies whose feet start hurting or whose heels sink into the grass (the tent has a ceramic tile and hardwood floor, but we're setting out fire pits in the grass). They have all sizes and lots of colors left for those of you interested!

ETA: Does anyone have any ideas on where to buy a basket large enough to display 60 pairs of flip flops neatly? Or should I look for a beverage tub?

Could you do a basket for each size? That way, the ladies aren''t digging around looking for a size. Do one for small (5-6), one for medium (7-8), one for large (9-Up). I love the idea of having replacement shoes!

I love this idea! We will be getting married on grass, too, but I''m putting a disclaimer in the invites to warn them as I can''t take a bunch of flip-flops to Hawaii with us!

(FI is already going to throw a fit when he sees all of the stuff we DO need to get over there!)

I did, however, but fuschia sparkly (w/rhinestones) flip-flops on clearance for $2.48 at Target for my BM''s to wear after the ceremony. I have no idea if they''ll actually wear them, but what the heck, they were cheap!

I think beverage tubs would definitely be the way to go for the flip-flops. Target and JCPenney had some great ones, but they may be gone due to the past season. There have also been some neat metal ones at Dollar Tree, so if you have a dollar store around, check there.

I think you should do as suggested and group them by size, and see how big of a container you''ll need and go from there. I would also tie them together with ribbon and a size tag, along with a little container/bowl/etc... for the gals to easily get them apart and discard of the trappings.

Also, you may want to consider where you would like your guests to put their shoes while they''re wearing the flip-flops. I think many will just carry theirs to their seats, but you never know, so just a thought.
