I listed it briefly last month and then pulled it back due to second thoughts (it is just so darn pretty and romantic!), but as I don't know when I'll get around to setting it, I'd thought I'd float it here to see if there is any PSer interest...

drum roll ...

This is a loose 1.08ct D-VS1 rose-cut diamond, 7mm round, with a high dome and pointy apex. The clarity is fantastically clean, and the SBF just heightens the icy whiteness, yet there is still plenty of colored fire due to the large, wide triangular facets.

This is really a special diamond, and a unicorn of a rose-cut with its high color and clarity - PLUS it is a standard calibrated 7mm round which really opens up setting options.

I purchased this rose-cut earlier this year at what I consider was a very good price based on my research. Ideally I'd prefer to get back what I paid, $4800, but I also would like to sell sooner rather than later...

Update:

While I've exchanged emails with several people, no one has committed to purchase yet so this is still available.

And, to encourage a quick sale (today!) to a PSer, I'll absorb a loss and take $500 off the listed price ... hope to hear from one of you soonest!

Yes, for the last several days I've had trouble even accessing the DB website - it just won't load, even using different browsers - other times it will load the main page but then won't let me see individual listing pages... kind of annoying but I'm guessing maybe the DB site is maxed out again? It seems every few years they have to upgrade their server to accommodate the greater amount of listings/photos/videos.
 
Same here ... DB has been down for me as well, loading only a cached page on occasion.
