Hi!

I've taken a while off from full blown wedding planning but since it's only 5 months away (EEEEEK!), I know it's time to get my butt in gear again. :loopy:

So I'm looking for dresses for my daughters and I'm just so overwhelmed! We're going with an ivory and pink-rose color scheme. My dress is satin and lace with ruching at the waist and pick ups on the skirt and the color is ivory. I thought about having their dresses in ivory with coordinating sashes and mayyybe pick ups as well (no ruching, too grown up imo!). They are 6 and 8 years old and I will be having the girls walk down the isle with me, one on either side to 'give me away'. I can't wait!! ::)

Anyhow, does anyone have a suggestion for where to get the dresses? I've looked at David's Bridal (where I got my dress) and I'll take them in with me when I pick it up so they can try some stuff on, but I don't know if I want to spend $140 each on their dresses. I looked at some online vendors, but I'm hesitant to go with someone that I have never worked with/don't have recommendations for.

I'm sorry my post is all over the place...I'm out of practice at this!! :o

We're getting our Flower Girl's dress from www.nancyaugust.com... They're a recommended vendor on Style Me Pretty, so I decided to take the risk. They do have a pretty draconian return policy though, so be sure to be very aware of that if you order through there.

I think this dress is completely freaking adorable. If you want pickups, this might be a good option with the coordinating sash. This one is similar, but a little more simple.

Oh I like all of those, thanks!! I do like the one with pickups. Hmmm I need to measure my 8-going-on-12-year-old to see if it'll be long enough. Thanks again! :)

tammy...I wonder if it might be a good idea for you to wait until Easter dresses come out in department stores and go shopping for your girls then. I'm sure there will be some wonderful dresses in all shades of white, ivory, and pink to choose from, and while they might not have pickups, they should still have that formal, special vibe. Those should be released within the next month or so, I expect.

Also, perhaps try etsy. This shop has adorable tutu style dresses for flower girls/junior bridesmaids. I found it by searching "flower girl dress for wedding" since just "flower girl dress" was turning up, you guessed it, girls dresses with flowers on them.
