Our wedding party is small- only MOH and BM wll be standing up with us that day. That''s really the way FI and I wanted it to be.

I have 2 close girlfiriends that have had a lot to do with the wedding- planning my shower/bachelorette weekend, invite assembly, shopping, etc.... For all intensive purposes, they''re more than guests, but not quite "bridesmaids". We''re all in our mid-30''s, and they were kinda thrilled not to be labeled as BM''s!

I''m not sure what kind of flowers to give them that day. A bouquet seems kinda silly, as I don''t want them to have to hold this thing all afternoon (and they will not be walking down the aisle).

I guess a corsage will do. Which kind do you think would work best- pin-on or wrist? It''s been soooo long since I''ve worn one, and just need some input on this. I could ask them, but I''m sure they''ll say "whatever you want".

I''m not sure what their dresses will look like. I just requested that they wear something in a deep red/wine color.

HELP!

Hey Charger, I think that if it were me, I''d rather get a wrist corsage instead of a pin on, for a few reasons: 1.) Pins make holes (duh

), and sometimes people don''t want to get a (although it''s teeny) hole in a new top. 2.) A wrist corsage is just more comfortable, and you don''t have to feel your top dragging down with a pin-on. 3.) You don''t have to worry about getting things caught on it when they hug. So I''d do writst corsages! I think it''s a great idea, though!

I''m with amber on this one. I think a wrist boquet would be beautiful. I think a pin corsage for girls might get in the way of their outfit. Say for example one of them had a low cut top or a strapless dress...they would have to put the pin very close to their breast...which might look a little funny.

hi charger,
sounds like we''re in the same boat- i will be turning 40...gulp
next year 2 months after the wedding and i am also having just
my 3 sisters up there with me, yet have some very special friends that will be doing so much to help.

i love the idea of a wrist corsage- if it were me in their shoes i would feel honored.
i may just have to look into that as well- thanks for the post and idea...

sorry....hit submit twice on this one and can't get it to delete!

I agree with the wrist corsage. Pin on are not good for light weight materials. I don''t know why but I also tend to associate pin on with older people.

I would say a wrist corsage....i would have probably done flowers for their hair though.... Makes it not quite the same as the mothers...

Hehe I have pseudo bridesmaids too, and wanted to know just this! I was leaning more towards pin-ons, but now everyone is swaying me to wrist corsages! I think I will ask my girls though and see if they have any preference, but I mainly just wanted to note how excited I am that you''re doing the exact same thing as I am!

THANKS for the input!

Wrist corsages for my AWESOME gals will be perfect.
