I purchased a natural diamond online with the below properties but it’s medium blue fluorescent. I have read pros and cons and don’t want to regret my diamond choice. I could purchase a less clarity diamond with faint fluorescent. My question is am I worried about nothing or should I consider a different diamond. I’m within the return window and have yet to receive it. Thanks for any feedback.

1.77 Carat, Round, Super Ideal Cut, F Color, IF Clarity, 7.67 x 7.62 x 4.81mm

Hi, we need more info.
Who called it super ideal?
What lab report and post the numbers from the report or the report #?
Post any images you have.
Thanks.

Brilliant earth has the super ideal rating which is their highest rating. The GIA report number is 6432942034. that helps and thanks for the reply.

Brilliant Earth's "Super Ideal" rating is misleading. Super Ideal to pricescope means that it is AGS000 graded, H&A with
angles/depths/table that fall within certain criteria. They are in-house and owned by the company that sells them. They will
have all the images to prove that it is a super ideal stone. This stone is not a super ideal by our standards. Can you ask for
an aset image so we can check on light leakage?

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, thegauntlet!

Found the grading report in a vendor list: it's tagged as potential BGM (brown, green, milky)...line 1436.

We need to be careful and take most sellers "super ideal" nomenclature with a grain of salt, since there is no universal industry standards that define what "super ideal" is.
As consumers/prosumers, we typically accept "super ideal" as long as ALL of the following criteria is met:
* Proportions and angles fall within a tight set of ranges.
* Symmetry precision and optical performance are verified with ASET and/or Ideal-Scope.
* No inclusions that are visible from 6-10 inches away or even less.
* No inclusions or characteristics that affect transparency.
* A grading report from a reputable lab, with AGS and GIA being the most commonly sought for earth grown diamonds.

No, no no no no. Also, brilliant earth can be hard to deal with IIRC. I think they don’t refund, they give you a credit ? Maybe I am confused but I would triple check all of their policies.

Thanks for the reply, I definitely don’t want a brown green or milky diamond. I haven’t paid yet so could cancel. Any suggestions on the best places to purchase and what to look for? Trying to get a 1.75-2 carat colorless diamond that has good clarity and ideal cut for under 23,500. Hopefully that is possible.

Please have a look at the following vendors for true super ideal cut diamonds:

Whiteflash
Victor Canera
Brian Gavin
Continental Diamond
JannPaul

Distinctive Gem

See anything that catches your eye?

Keep in mind that most/all of the sellers listed above are going to protect your purchase for life with the best upgrade programs on the planet, no exaggeration!

The biggest part of super ideal as we consider it is documenting everything and showing proof.
Or images rule, tags drool.

Thank you for adding that additional critical piece that I inadvertently left out, Karl_K...good looking out!

It's definitely possible. Here are some options for you to take a look at.

DejaWiz, where did you find a vendors list that stated possible BGM? I would have no idea where to find such a thing.
F color, IF clarity, you think you're fine. Sheesh.

Did a web search for the grading report number and found that list amongst the results, then did a search within the document. :)

Looks like a great choice!
Keep in mind that if you ever decide to upgrade, then JA requires at least double the original purchase price.
If you're OK with those terms, then snag that beauty before someone else does!

That WF 2 ct is killer! And great upgrade policy!
