Hi everyone,
I'm listing another of my treasures - an incredible Georgian sapphire conversion ring I purchased recently from The One I Love NYC. Unfortunately, it's just not for me.
It's a large sapphire that pulls an angelic sky blue colour and it's in the original setting with gorgeous detailing. As was done in Georgian times, there is a small thin sheet of reflective foil behind the stone in the setting (re-foiled when it was converted to show off its beautiful hue). This was done during the Georgian period in order to increase the light reflection and give pieces a unique beauty.The band has been cast from a Victorian shank to finish it off perfectly.
