These studs are were sold to me as F-color, though to be on the conservative side I'll say they might be a G. They are VVS2 in clarity. One weighs .26 carats and the other .27 carats to combine for .53tcw.

They're fantastic earrings for daytime or evening - those big chunky facets were designed to catch fire in even the most dimly candle-lit room, and they're disco-balls in the sun. They measure 3.65mm square, and are set in simple tapered 4-prong basket settings ... a pleasant side-view, but also a comfortable, close-to-the-ear fit.

These could easily be adapted to sport dangles, but they're a fabulous bit of luxury for every day just as they are. Settings are hypoallergenic palladium with pushbacks, and, as always, if you have any questions or would like to see additional pictures, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Link below:

Hey, PB! No need for apologies, I love to talk about fluorescence! That's my transitional, which is also currently up for sale (found an irresistible upgrade, saving up while the vendor holds the stone). Fluorescence is one of my very favorite qualities: in some stones, it can produce an eye-visible glow in strong sunlight, or do what it's doing in the pic under a black light. A stone with eye- visible fluorescence is still my holy grail ... this one has light-to-medium fluorescence, which some people believe makes diamonds face up a little whiter, but no indigo glow in the sun. I do think the transitional does face up pretty white for an antique J-K, though, so there may be some truth to that one as well ....

These are so gorgeous!

That's so interesting! I have what is supposedly a K (although 2 other jewelers have told me it looks too white to be K) with strong blue fluorescence. I will be curious to see if it shows any indigo in sunlight :) At the moment, it's with CvB being put into a custom engagement ring...with a curved fishtail setting that looks just like the one in your avatar! Would you mind sharing a picture of what the ring in your avatar looks like?

Oh, cool - I LOVE her work! I just snapped up the marquise eternity Neil so very nicely put up, and I'm hoping to get one of her bezeled baguette bands at some point in the future. Such a talented lady! Here's a link to my LT thread, which has a lot of pics ... I think it ought to link back to y SMTB thread, but I have a hungry toddler glowering in my general direction. Can't wait to see how yours will come out!

Circe, I am having her make a platinum french cut sapphire baguette and round bezel ring right now. I am very hopeful about the quality of her work because there are a lot of other things I want her to make!

Sorry to threadjack but Circe and diamondseeker2006, you got my attention when you mentioned CvD bands. Please do post pics when you get them!
