French pave eternity band - stone size help please

Hi, all! I’ve been trying to get myself a new, wider (3-ish mm) eternity band for months! I realized I needed to move on to a different style than the ones I had been wanting, in order to get the very low profile I need to work best with my solitaire.

So I ordered this French pave eternity from Blue Nile to try, and it’s low profile and quite lovely, but it’s overwhelming my solitaire just a bit. It’s funny how a setting can make all the difference - larger .08 stones in a shared prong setting didn’t look nearly this wide.

Can you help me determine what stone size would work better? These diamonds are supposed be 22 x .0668 ct each (1.47ct total for size 6.5). Do you think .06 ct each would make enough of a difference, or would you go even smaller? (I do have a 1.8mm French pave half eternity, I’m wanting to go bigger) Thank you!

I think this size looks great with your ring. 6 pointers are definitely not too large.

Thank you!

I think this band looks better with my e ring in photos than in person. I was very surprised to find it looking so wide (to my eye) - I was just about to go with 8 or 10 pointers ! in a shared prong style. Must be the straight line effect of this one vs the scalloped edge of the shared prong
