Hello everyone,

I am a complete novice when it comes to selling fine jewellery, but I have a 2.48ct OEC halo style platinum ring for sale - there is a separate listing on here for it - and I am getting quite desperate to sell it asap (as a complete ring, or the stone on its own).

My question is - can anyone offer recommendations/suggestions/tips to get a quick sale (without 'giving' it away)? I know there's perhaps no easy answer, but I thought it might be worth asking those with more experience than I have!

I currently have it listed on DiamondBistro.com and LoupeTroop.com - but is there anywhere else I should post it? It's on consignment with Jewels by Grace, too, so available for viewings...and a completely risk-free buy.

I would appreciate your suggestions - it's a stunning ring and I would love it to find a good home (but asap!).

Thanks so much :wavey:

Did you ask Grace to list it in her Summer Sale? I have a couple Sapphire Bands with her I'd like to move and I asked her to discount them. If you haven't asked you should... someone could be watching it just waiting for the right price point.

Either consign it back with Grace which will also take a while and ask her to keep dropping the price until it sells or keep dropping the price yourself until you get offers you are happy to accept on it.

I would really recommend selling the stone and setting together. A used setting like that would probably be worth only scrap value because it was made to fit that one specific stone and it would be unlikely to fit anything else. It is a beautiful ring. You just have to be patient because it can take several months or more to sell a ring sometimes. Be sure it is priced at a discount from what you paid, too. because it will sell faster if it is priced right.

I looked for your listing on LoupeTroop but I don't see it. A little help please

Oh, never mind, I found it.
