I can''t personally vouch for their merchandise or service, but this site is really neat to visit.

They have all those less familiar gems - the ones you only see in museums and wouldn''t use for jewelry. They''re fun to look at. They also have an interesting search narrowing feature - for instance, if you choose sapphire (they have 993), you can narrow your selction down by color. Not just blue-yellow-pink, etc... but but 21 diferent color ranges. Choose one color or color range or as many as you like. Each stone is photographed individually and most identify the light source - incandesecent, cool daylight, natural daylight, etc.

They have over 8200 *single* gems stones available - tiny to massive, but here are a few sapphires, sphenes, benitoites, mandarins and tsavorites...

Wow, that site is awesome. Just what I need to brighten my day!

It''s a very popular site here on PS and has a good reputation. It''s certainly one I would buy from.

If I was after an e-ring stone, I would prefer to go to Palagems though.

I like Multicolour for fun pieces. If you have a lot of patience, you can find decently cut stones with great colour but you''ll be spending hours sifting through their inventory. Their prices are also very competitive. I''ve purchased 2 items from them in the past and returned one. The return was hassle free and the colour change garnet I got was a good buy.

I know it''s not cherrypicked, White''s or TNSC... and I can see that Pala is great (although not seeing the prices is frustrating). I think that''s why I called it "Fun gemstone site". I like the sifting.

Chrono~

Do you have pics of the item you purchased posted? I would like to see some "real" pics.

Some of them look fantastic!

Colour change garnets are notoriously difficult to photograph. It''s a lovely pear shaped stone slightly over 1 ct that changes from reddish purple to a darker grayish blue green stone. I''m sorry I don''t have any "real" pictures. I''m plan to reset it because it is currently in a bezel setting and it just doesn''t do the stone any justice.

Was the quality good on the garnet? I''m still dreaming about a color change garnet tennis bracelet to match my ring.

The quality is surprisingly good, better than most. No windowing, bowtie, decent symmetry and strong colour change. I do have to admit that I checked Multicolour everyday for months before that one came along. Most were poorly cut, had not so good colour change, too much gray or the saturation was too light. I did aim to get a suite of small one to make a tennis bracelet too but gave up because it was too difficult to find so many matching cc garnet stones.
