I can''t personally vouch for their merchandise or service, but this site is really neat to visit.
They have all those less familiar gems - the ones you only see in museums and wouldn''t use for jewelry. They''re fun to look at. They also have an interesting search narrowing feature - for instance, if you choose sapphire (they have 993), you can narrow your selction down by color. Not just blue-yellow-pink, etc... but but 21 diferent color ranges. Choose one color or color range or as many as you like. Each stone is photographed individually and most identify the light source - incandesecent, cool daylight, natural daylight, etc.
They have over 8200 *single* gems stones available - tiny to massive, but here are a few sapphires, sphenes, benitoites, mandarins and tsavorites...
