Okay so this has no importance to anything, I just got a giggle out of it and thought I''d share!

Okay so, my FI is officaly moving in with me this week, but he has been staying here just about nightly for months on end. (We''re just going to make it offical by getting the rest of his belongings and changeing his address tomorrow!) Anywho, I have this hamper in our bedroom. He bought it for me almost a year ago when we remodeled the room together. He continusely makes comments (jokingly) about how he "waisted" his money because I refuse to use it. It''s a pain in the butt, and I just throw the cloths in a laundry basket in the corner of the room.

So, for weeks now he''s been saying "I''m out of boxers & jeans, where are they?" and then I also get blamed for loseing all of his socks. I''ve been at a loss because I do laundry twice a week and IDK why he never has any boxers or jeans, and I''m clueless as to whats happening to his socks. We actually went out and he bought alot more work jeans, because he was down to only a couple pairs. On Saturday he came home from work and put a load of laundry in (for the first time ever) all by himself because he couldnt understand what I was doing to cause his cloths to disappear.

Well today I''m cleaning the bedroom really good and I just happen to look in the hamper to make sure nothing accidently ended up in there, and what do I find?! A hamper FULL of boxers, jeans, and sox! All his.

I''m sure this wasn''t a trick becaue he really was at a loss as to where his cloths where, he even searched threw the whole basement thinking maybe while doing wash they got pushed aside somewhere.

MEN!!

I did get a good laugh at this (as well as getting out of doing a load of laundrey!)!

OMG that''s funny!

We have a laundry system that seems to work pretty well...It''s too hard for me to keep track of my own clothes let alone his too. We came up with a system that I only wash what he puts into a certain hamper. I have my own and he has his. Anything else that''s dirty and sitting anywhere but in his hamper doesn''t get washed. That way he knows (because he has physically touched it and therefore remembers) exactly what clothes are being washed...when he sees his hamper empty he knows that whatever was in there will be clean soon.

It keeps him from asking me where a certain pair of pants or shirt is. If he does I just say "was it dirty?" "did you put it in the hamper?" When I ask that he usually remembers that he didn''t and goes straight to where he took it off and threw it

That''s too funny! Does anyone else find that their guy goes through tons of boxers/socks/undershirts during the week? I''ll do laundry at the end of the week and have maybe 10 shirts (going to work, gym, etc) and some pants and jeans (though to be fair most of my pants are dry cleaned, so they don''t end up the wash). Meanwhile, FI has 15 pairs of boxers alone in there, maybe 5 polo shirts, 10 tshirts, assorted undershirts, and 15 pairs of socks. What the heck? He goes through at least one complete change of clothes per day. Ridiculous.

That''s a good idea Ams! I''ll let him put his cloths in the dreaded hamper, and I''ll just keep mine in a basket! However, most of his cloths end up in the cellar, because when he comes home from work he is filthy and goes straight to the shower (our only shower is in our cellar, how convenient huh?) so he''ll just toss his cloths infront of the washer. He''s a stone mason, so they''re completely full of dust! This is why I really don''t know why he put then all in the hamper in the first place! Usually just his good cloths are upstairs.

I''ll have to try your idea, thanks!

elrohwen- lol, I feel ya! Like I said before, my FI is a stone mason, so he has to do a complete change after work and after his shower, then around 8 o''clock he goes and puts on his "comfy around the house" shorts and a tee shirt, so that''s three complete outfits a day! The laundrey really stacks up! I always try to tell him since you only wear the clean cloths for a couple hrs after work why can''t you wear the jeans and shirt another day as well? He''s worse than a woman!!

I completely agree about re-wearing clothes! If I come home and put on a tshirt and sweatpants for 2 hours before going to bed, I''ll re-wear them for at least another day or two. It''s not like they got dirty while I was sitting on the couch watching tv for a few hours. But he''ll wear work clothes, work-out clothes, and lounging clothes all in one day, and put on all new ones the next day. I try to make him at least fold the laundry because it''s 90% his stuff anyway.
