My daughter was sexually assaulted and I found out a month ago. She was 14 and it happened three months ago. Everything has become police, lawyers, court, counselling, breakdowns. He was arrested.

I stayed away from PS for a long time and didn't reply to messages 1 - 2 years ago. I went out and tried to find more real life friends and guess what? It wasn't what I thought. It is hard to make friends in your 40s! I am so sorry for leaving for so long. This is a really supportive community and you guys get how stones help in tough times.

I didn't want to reply to everyone who commented on my jewelry posts but I recently saw your comments from way back and I am so grateful for them. Too many names to say here but if you have been on CS a lot and we chatted I am talking about you! I joined PS in 2010 and the changes to it freaked me out a little and it was hard to post pics for a while or even to log I so I gave up. Now it is so easy! how horrific for your daughter and you as her mother. I hope she can recover and get past this trauma. It will take time, but it sounds like you are doing all you can to help the healing. I'm glad that PS gives you some kind of diversion and that you can get support from the community. Please don't go away again.
 
Welcome back. I am so sorry to hear what has happened to your daughter - but very glad to hear action has taken. That can be a very important part of healing - for all of you. Beautiful bling. I hope you are able to stay around this time! Hugs and healing!
 
I am SO sorry about what you and your daughter had to endure. I can’t imagine. Huge hugs to you and I hope you can find some comfort and welcome back in PS.
 
@Lookinagain yes, it has been hellish for the two of us and really weird for her older sister. The older one was the one I had been having talks with about being careful, etc. Thank you.

I can't tell you all the medieval solutions I reflexively thought of that I hope happens to that monster. That's absolutely harrowing. She's more powerful and resilient than she knows and she will get through. I'm glad you're here and even more so that she has support of people who love her.

I am so very sorry to read about what your daughter experienced but am thankful the perpetrator was arrested. I hope he gets a very heavy sentence and that your daughter will be able to find some normalcy again with the love and support of her family and you.
 
Omgoodness I am so sorry about what happened to your DD. I hope the perpetrator is punished to the fullest extent allowable. I pray your daughter will get the support and peace she needs to have a happy and fulfilled life.

I am so sorry about your daughter. Prayers that she will get through her drama through you and proper counseling. I am glad you found a little solice in P.S. Your rings are gorgeous!
 
What a terrible experience for you and your daughter. May you both gain strength and heal from this trauma.
 
I’m so sorry that your DD had to experience this, I can only imagine how awful this has been for you all. I hope that monster get’s whats coming to him.

I’m so sorry about what happened to your daughter. I hope you’re all healing well. PS and jewelry in general is a really nice way to escape sometimes. I’m glad the guy was arrested and hopefully he leaves you all alone going forward.
 
Thank you so much guys. Gosh I missed this! Every message above helped me so much - today is full of therapy appts etc so I don't have time to answer individual but I am grateful to each and every one of you who wrote above. It helps me feel less alone in this!
 
I am so sorry for what your daughter has endured, and is still enduring @ilovegemstones. I know as her mom you are suffering right along with her. Words fail but please know I am sending thoughts of strength and comfort to all as you make your way to healing and recovery.
