get away transport..

We''re having a small (40-50) people ceremony and reception in my parent''s backyard overlooking the water (beautiful spot!). Planning is running smoothly but I can''t figure out what to do about ''getaway transport''. We''ve thought about a boat but the logistics of that will be tricky since the waterside is very rocky. Therefore, it has to be land based. Don''t really want to rent a driver just to take us on a 5 minute drive either... Any ideas? Guests will be drinking so that''s out of the question too...

We had kind of a similar situation. The hotel we were staying at for the evening was half a mile away from the reception, which didn''t seem worth hiring someone but we didn''t want to walk it. My husband talked to the special events coordinator at the restaurant where we had the reception about what she''d recommend, and she just had one of their employees drive us in his car for free. I''m not sure if your caterers would be willing to do something like this. You said that your guests would be drinking, but are you sure that all of them will be?
