This is something I've noticed in many GIA reports, but here's a listing to use as an example:
There are 2 GIA reports in the listing.
July 20, 2021 tested all 7 sapphires. It says the species is "Natural Corundum", but calls the variety as "One (1) Natural Sapphire and Six (6)Sapphires".
Aug 3,2021 tested just 1 of the 7 sapphires. It identifies the species as "Natural Corundum", then the variety of just that one sapphire tested as "Natural Sapphire".
When they say the Species is "Natural Corundum" but just describes the variety as "sapphire" instead of specifically saying "natural sapphire", does that mean it's lab/manufactured (where the chemical composition is the same as a naturally occurring sapphire but it's made in a facility)? If not and they mean all 7 are mined, then why specifically identify one as "natural sapphire" and in the same line describe the rest as just "sapphires"? I've seen this in other GIA reports on a single sapphire ring where sometimes the Variety is called out as "Natural Sapphire" and other times just "Sapphire".

The sapphire is Sri Lanka with no heat. Certificate: GIA Color Stone Report, Mayor's Appraisal. Gemstones: Natural Diamond, Natural Blue Sapphire. Natural Blue Sapphire-. Remaining sapphires have been tested by GIA and are heat treated.
