Well ladies, I know I haven''t posted much on here, only a few replies to posts, but my boyfriend proposed tonight and I am officially engaged!!!!!
The whole thing happened so quick. We were sitting on the couch and we had just finished looking at the pictures he had taken at my sister''s wedding this weekend. (I actually was going to post about her wedding today and how everyone kept telling me they couldn''t wait for the next wedding
) Well we had a movie we had rented on Saturday and didn''t get a chance to watch so I asked if he wanted to watch the movie. He said, "Ummm.... sure." But then he kept sitting there. Then he started talking about how everyday with me makes him even happier than the day before and a whole bunch of other sweet stuff. He told me he would be honored if I would spend my life with him. Then he pulled out the ring and I sort of froze (overflow of emotions and all that). I finally said, "I guess I should probably say yes." And he said, "I didn''t ask you anything yet!" Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!!!
Of course I said yes and then we discussed how we would tell our parents. We drove over to my grandma''s/mom''s and announced the news and of course they were all very happy for us. We''ll be seeing his parents tomorrow night.
Now the only problem I''m having is realizing that this is all really happening and that I get to spend my life with someone who complements me so perfectly. I''m sure tomorrow I''ll be "freaking out" all day but right now I''m really mellow about the whole thing. I''d post pics but it''s a lab created alexandrite (that''s what I asked for specifically) so I don''t want to break the posting rules. Trust me, I think it''s perfectly gorgeous! Good luck to all of you that are still waiting. Enjoy the happiness you have now and remember that more is just around the corner.
