I recently purchased a cute diamond baguette eternity band off of etsy and chose 18kt white gold. I confirmed with the seller that it would in fact be solid gold (not plated, etc.)
Got the ring today and checked the markings- it says "G 18KT". I've never seen this before, but wondering if it's common to mark gold with a "G" in Australia as that's where the seller is.
When googling it, it said GP 18kt would indicate gold plated and that scared me a bit even though there is no P in the hallmark.
Has anyone seen this?
