Thank you PSers for helping me decide what kind of wedding ring I wanted. I ended up with a 5 stone .80 ctw
F/G SI1 platinum ring which I love!!!

Gorgeous! They look lovely together. What size ring do you wear? Could you also tell me how thick your bands are?

Hi bd09,
I wear a size 7 (I dont know why my fingers are so fat???). My ering thickness is 1.5 mm. I''m guessing the
5 stone ring is around 2.8mm. I dont really know the 5 stone but its not twice the size of my ering. I''ll post
a side photo (sorry they''re so big).

Hi bd09,
Posting more pics...I got my ring at a local family owned jewelry store. I had ordered a 5 stone .81 ctw from a
PS vendor but when I got it I was a little dissapointed but couldnt figure out why. The stones were beautiful
but because of the setting which was very low profile and curved you really only got the impact of the 3 middle
stones. Each end stone was on a slant and pointing off toward my other fingers. The visual impact from this
ring just wasnt there like I thought it should be. The ring I bought from my local jeweler is in a setting that
sets up higher and seems less curved because of that. You really get more of the total impact of the stones.
I hope this is making sense? I still have both rings and I am going to post pictures which will hopefully
demonstrate what I am saying.

LaR - I actually do feel the ring I am keeping is substantial enough to wear alone. I am posting more pics for
you with full hand and one at arms length. Also, if you note what I was saying above, I dont think the other
ring that I had bought from a PS vendor would have made me happy wearing alone (even though it is the
same ctw). I didnt realize how big a difference the setting makes. I truely believe the higher the stones
set up, the bigger they will look (it does make since). So, if you are ordering on line, take real notice of
the setting!
