I can''t believe I did it, but this new ebay addiction got the better of me. The ring is a .36 carat with 12 diamonds, 2.5mm wide (god I hope it''s not too narrow!!!) and I won the auction for $61.12. I''ve never done anything like this, so I''m terrified I''m going to get it and go "WHAT IS THIS PIECE OF CRAP?!!" When we looked at similar but smaller rings in the jewelry store they were 10x the price so I''m just hoping that this isn''t 1/10 the quality of what I am expecting. What do you think? Am I crazy to have done this????

Oops, here''s a bigger one.

It looks beautiful from the photos!!! And if you don''t love it in person, you can always e-bay it back to someone else.

Be sure to take handshots when it comes in! And congratulations, it really does look like a great purchase from what I can tell!!!

It looks great. But if you aren''t happy once you receive it, you can sell it back on eBay, or even worst case senario, it was only $60 bucks!!

cute! like the others said, its no biggie if you don''t like it you can just sell it again! and I totally get the ebay fever sometimes, it''s like an addiction... the excitement to see if you won... I dunnos I get really sucked in!

It looks good. Worst come to worst, wear the ring on your right hand.

it looks nice from the pictures.. and for 60 bucks you''re not really taking a big hit at least. how was the seller''s feeback?

The seller feedback was 99% good but the only thing that scared me was one post that said she got the wrong product and seller won''t return emails. Gulp! All I can do now is wait! And my whole justification for getting the ring was the same rationale all of you have said "Return it, resell it, or just keep it since it cost so little." I pray it comes before I leave for the Thanksgiving holiday.

But gosh if I like it, it''s going to be soooooooo hard not wear it!!

Ha Ha Selflove!
that is so funny, ebay can be so so so addictive! The price you paid was amazing! Like everyone else said, worse comes to worse you wear in on your right hand or sell it. Either way, it''s a deal, and ebay is so much fun.
Good luck, I hope it comes in soon so we can all see it too!
Now you''ve sparked a curiosity in me... I want a right hand ring... time to go check out ebay!

Oh Tybee--the other site you should check out for a right-hand ring is www.bidz.com. Now that one is ADDICTING! It gets really exciting at the final minute, with a lot of bells and whistles (literally).

Don''t feed my addictions self love! Don''t feed my addictions!!!! lol.

Did it come in yet?

It looks great in the pictures & if it doesn''t work as your wedding band, it could be a fabulous RHR! You can''t go too far wrong for $60...

Be sure to post pics when it arrives!

Selflove-It looks great! Don''t worry. Like everyone else said, if you don''t like it you have so many other options.
On a side note, I am addicted to
www.bidz.com. I got a tanzanite from there and am waiting to get it. ($26) but like you, I''m a bit nervous myself!!!
Good luck to us both!

Dont''f forget to post those hand shots when you get it!

Selflove,
LOL, I just bought a necklace on bidz.com, and my palms are sweating! I really did NOT need to know about that site!!
Did your ring come in yet? I''m really hoping that it turns out to be more beautiful than expected.
Happy Thanksgiving all! Now I need to get off this computer and go for a run to burn off this adrenaline!

OMG Tybee!!! Did your ring come in from bidz? Isn''t it fun at the end with all the bells and whistles? Oh I HAVE TO stay AWAY from there or, if I do visit, just be a lurker.

So...I got the ring and it it''s awful. Looks like it has been through the garbage disposal and then put into the trash compactor. Really, it''s very used, all scratched up, it''s lopsided, some of the diamonds are so dull I swear I can see black in them, it''s way skinny, and I truly believe they overinflated the carat weight (they said it''s .36 but those 12 little diamonds look a lot smaller than the .03 diamond in my e-ring). I certainly won''t use it for my wedding band but my co-workers are telling me to keep it. I can''t think of any reason I''d want to keep this piece of crap! I''d rather get my $46 back! Tonight I''ll see what fiance thinks.

And the vendor was the WORST. The worst customer service I''ve ever experienced anywhere ever in my entire life. I would never buy from that vendor again.

oh no... too bad your deal didn''t work out, selflove! Hopefully you can still get your money back?

Oh Boo!
SelfLove, I''ve been wondering about your ring. I hope you give that seller a stinky review.
I guess in the long run you didn''t lose out too muc financially.

Oh, and bidz... you''ve really created a monster in me by telling me about that site!
DANGEROUS!
I (won) a really sweet delicate necklace. It''s a tiny ring of itsy bitsy diamonds on a white gold chain.
I adore it.
Now I have to fight myself to stay away. I found myself bidding WAY too much on a pair of
solitare earrings that I didn''t need.
Habit forming. Dangerous.

I do hope things work out for you and your ring, You should find one that you LOVE!

If your seller misrepresented the ring in the auction''s product description I think you should be able to get your money back. Look into eBay and PayPal''s rules...

Selflove, that stinks! If the seller misrepresented the ring, I would definitely insist on a refund. Did they have a return policy? If so, I would definitely utilize it. Otherwise, you can try to resell it on eBay, but you would have to disclose the awful condition it is in. But hey, I''m sure someone will bite. But even if you just hold onto it, you aren''t out too much $$ thankfully!

Selflove-I''m sorry. That stinks. I agree with the others, try to get your money back!

Tybee-I got a ring in from bidz.com and I had to return it. Within an hour of wearing it a tanzanite stone fell out.Hopefully I will get my money back. Needless to say, I''m not additcted to that website anymore! Hope your necklace works out.

Selflove, that stinks! I agree...try to get your money back! It sounds like this piece was grossly misrepresented. How disappointing...

Oh thanks guys, for all your support. There is a bright side to this (aside that the seller finally seems to understand customer service and is being wondeful over the phone about returning it...), but the bright side is that I get to keep shopping for a wedding band!!!!!!!! Every time I find myself in a mall that''s the only thing I want to look at anymore. This time, I think I need to SEE the ring live and in person before I buy it!

Tybee--hope you have better luck with your necklace than Angel7 did with her piece!

Well, it sounds like everything is going to work out with the seller! And like you said, at least you still get to shop for wedding bands
