Hi everyone,

Is the grading comment "clouds not shown" a cause for concern in a VS1 AGS 000 diamond? Clarity setting inclusion is listed as a feather, then crystal, then needle. Appear to be one of each on the plot. Does the comment just mean that any clouds were insignificant in assessing the clarity grade?

Thanks!

Not a problem. It’s more likely to be a problem in SI stones where clouds are plotted and the notes say “additional clouds not shown” or definitely a problem in SI stones when it says “clarity based on clouds”

The section titled "Grade Setting Characteristic" also addresses this and may be helpful.

Pretty much nothing in a VS1 is cause for concern. At that clarity level and above, the characteristics listed and the stone plot diagram serve mainly to positively identify the stone.

This is strange. A new member, dickinsonron, is repeating Bryan's post word for word, with a few synonyms substituted for Bryan's words. Is this just a really strange coincidence? Is he a bot trying to establish a good reputation? What's going on here?

Almost nothing about a VS1 warrants worry. At that clarity level and above, the qualities provided in the stone layout diagram serve largely to positively identify the stone.

It's a spammer for sure.

Same with the other thread they commented in, basically parroting a prior response in the same thread.

I reported the profile so the PS Admins can investigate.
