This is super random-
I go see my jeweler pretty much every two weeks for something or the other, and he knows I am always in the market for a bigger, better rock at a steal of a price.
Last week he showed me a HONKER of a stone someone sold him. Basic stats from the appraisal the woman gave him: H color, SI3 (lol), 10.48 x 10.38 x 6.01. A GIGANTIC STONE. He said it would most likely grade as I color, inclusions are harder because they are white (not carbon) but a good amount of them on the side. That said from even 6 inches away I didn't notice them- probably because the stone was a behometh. He is asking 20K but I think he would take slightly less.
For someone looking for a honker, this could be the one. I mean it looks huge and sparkly and pretty and if you want it as is, great, but if I had the money (which I unfortunately do not) I would send it to Brian Gavin or the like for a recut, lose some weight (and probably some of the inclusions) And come out with a stone worth twice as much.
I AM NOT GETTING ANYTHING FROM THIS! He is 98% of the time a bench jeweler (he has made everything I own) and doesn't do much with diamonds. I told him I could list this for him on a diamond website I go to and give his info so someone could contact him, if they feel like it. He is literally like family to me- I just took his kids to Disneyland. So i figured I would try to help him. I think it would be best if the person is local to los angeles so they can see it in person.
If you are interested, here is his yelp page so you can call him up. His name is Sam, and he is located in downtown LA's jewelry district.

Attaching the few pics he sent me, but give him a call if you are interested!
