I don''t know if I ever posted this before, but a friend of ours is having a bridal shower this weekend, and we decided to pass on a gift that we just loved to her and her fiance.

We got a little box that a friend of mine titled an "intimacy box," which really is a kind of cheesy name, but I can''t think of one better, either.

Anyway, the idea is that you give this beautiful box and a note stating the purpose of the box is to hold a dollar each time you and your spouse are "intimate," *thus the name of the box.* That way, you can "save up by loving one another" for something special, be it a date night, a first year anniversary weekend trip, or you can save for years for a BIG anniversary.

Both Paul and I thought it was funny to begin with, but it''s really amazing how fast the money can add up! We''ve said we''ll wait until the first year anniversary to spend it, but if something comes up that we both want to do before then, we''ll do that instead.

I thought it was a really cute, inexpensive, but somewhat creative idea for any people you know who may be getting married soon.

You could even get your own box! I''m telling you, it''s not something you really think about, but the money can add up FAST!!!

Oh, I forgot to say that when you give the gift, you put the first dollar in the box.

We went shopping for boxes this weekend, and I actually found my favorite at Ross. It''s like a mock book; it''s really pretty cherry colored wood with intricate designs in it and it opens up to a hollow book. I liked it, but had preferred to find a box, box. Oh well. It''ll work!! Paul liked the "book" better, said it was more *discrete* than just having a (his words here) "sex box lying around." We keep ours under the bed, not just lying around, though. He''s a silly boy.

That''s kinda funny. Do you both put a dollar in each time? That would make it add up even quicker!

Haha, Firegoddess. I''ve not thought of that idea!

We''ve lost "count" a bunch of times, so at random I''ll throw in a buck or two, and Paul likes to laugh at me when I run around trying to find a dollar for the box. It''s funny, and it''s fun. And man, when you don''t even think about it, it''s amazing how fast you get a fat envelope of cash.

That''s what I was assuming! I''ve never heard of that idea but it''s definitely clever. I''ll have to keep that in mind.

It''s been a rough year for us thus far... I don''t think our box would pay for a movie and popcorn.

Yeah, I gotta say, I love being married to my husband. He''s amazing. I feel like a record on that''s scratched because I keep saying the same thing, but it really is wonderful!!

This is a picture of us on my Paul''s birthday celebration at the Braves game.

I think he''s definitely getting cuter with time!!

Yeah, I love it, too. It''s fun, and like I said, thinking of things to do with the money is *so* fun.

You should get a box, CnS!!
