I am a newbie and don't know much about gemstones.
Can somebody help to find out if my gemstone can be jadeite or tourmaline, or it is definitely just a cheap glass - please find the pictures attached. I was able to measure the approximate specific gravity - it is around 3.20
Thanks in advance,
Alex

It looks like glass to me. If possible, you can measure the RI of the stone.

Definitely glass.

Thank you, I will assume it is the glass.

Really cool looking glass...

I just wonder whether the glass got green by spending zillions of years in the earth's mantle next to radioactive material, or it was treated in a lab.
I guess we need a GIA report.

I hope this is a joke and it is still a regular glass :).

I have one more green stone , this time with the specific gravity of 3.7 . I used to collect coins in the past and know that very experienced dealers and collectors can figure out the authentic coins based on average pictures,
at least with the high probability.
I am wondering if some conclusion possible based on the images attached.
Thanks in advance,
Alex

I am wondering if somebody has any opinion about the last stone. Is it obvious glass or there is a chance of some natural gemstone.
Thanks in advance,
Alex
