Guess the clarity of this 0.41 Carat Diamond :)

I just bought it and should receive it soon. Thanks. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

IF or I1?

It's gotta be one or the other if it merits a thread of its own 8)

No one else wants to play the game????

You really can't tell anything from that picture, so that is why people aren't guessing! But I'll guess SI1.

I am going to guess inclusion at 4:00 so si2

I should get the diamond tomorrow and will post pics. It's D color, I1 clarity. GIA report only lists Crystal, no cloud. Hope it looks great :)

wow, that's an I1? do you have a larger pic?

If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for it? I'm curious how it's going to look too. I have an I-2 stone that no one can believe is I-2.

The diamond is intended for me. I was thinking of a titanium tension setting for my right hand or possibly a stud for my left ear. I know many ladies on this forum don't like a diamond stud on a guy, but I think it would look good. I have to pass it by my wife though, she'll probably veto the stud idea...

I pick up the diamond in a couple hours and will post pics soon :)

Your wife may veto the stud idea so she can claim the diamond!

Actually an earring is a good choice for an included diamond. It's easier to see the inclusion on your hand than next to your face.

Here are some pics of the inclusions. There's a crystal near the girdle and another one near a star facet. The stone is definitely a keeper for me, incredible cut, icy white, and I don't mind the inclusions at all. The stone is eye-clean from about 9 inches away, it's only when you know where to look that you can see the inclusions close up. The inclusion near the girdle can only be seen when viewing through the pavillion. :)

I'm going to set this stone in a titanium setting from Boone Rings. I think this is the one:

Hopefully I can hide the inclusion near the girdle in the tension setting :wink2:

Wow!! What a good find! :appl:

Really can't tell it is an I1. Good job! :twirl:

Wow- Great find!! :appl: I love posts like this!!

Maybe the photo is just one of the inclusions magnified a lot..... :angryfire: Just kidding. Good luck. It sure looks great for I1 if that is the exact diamond coming to you.

Thanks PSers. I took the photos of the inclusions using a 10x loupe. The inclusions look pretty big using a loupe, but IRL are small. There are no clouds in the stone, so it looks amazing in person and is eye-clean from about 9 inches away. I'm waiting to hear back from Bruce at Boone Rings to see if he'll set the diamond considering the crystal near the girdle. I hope there's not a concern about fragility for this stone being set in a tension setting.
