Okay girls, I''ve been quiet lately, but have been lurking, just been really busy at work, and nothing exciting to contribute.

The week before last my BF and I were talking about rings again, and the e-ring budget, and he suggested we go look again...he actually suggested we go last week on his b-day, but I knew that he really didn''t want to do that on his b-day, so we are going this evening. I think he was thinking about the ritani b/c its not as expensive, but I know that once he sees the legacy, he''ll hopefully want to get the ball rolling on the stone and Leon much sooner.

I have a Leon custom idea that is inspired by the Legacy and cute330s Leon maseterpiece (I have shared the details with cutie, but am not saying anything else b/c I don''t want to jinx it...so don''t ask).

Sounds fun! The legacy is a beautiful ring, I have tried it on several times. Unfortunately the one I want has a 18ct diamond and is $38,000, so I am now focussing my attention elsewhere. Have a great night! Let us know what you both think.

I definitely won''t get the real legacy...way over my budget!

On new year''s my BF and I had tried on one ritani that looks almost exactly like the legacy, but with an RB and prong set...it was stunning...the BF talked about it for 3 days, so I think this one will really blow him away. I haven''t been able to find any pictures of it, but there is one on the ritani website that looks like the top view.

I have a problem...I''m a ring slut...I''m in love with so many different rings. Yesterday I was emerald cut obessed for about 3 hours, but I''ll probably try one of those on too.

haha, I definitely understand the ring slut problem! Even after my custom ring was started, I was still thinking about other rings too! oh well, there are definitely more rings in my future... I want one of each!

Okay girls, here is the recap...get ready. We found one that we are both in love with, so I think for now I am throwing my Leon idea out the window, but am saving it for my sapphire RHR...so my idea is still top secret.

ring #1: The Tiffany Legacy (3 sided pave)
I tried on one w/ ~1ct center, they said they would have to take me into a private to show me the bigger one. Also I haven't been in Tiff's since they remodeled the store and its amazing. Okay back to business....the ring is gorgeous, but the pave was actually too small...I know I didn't think this was possible, but it was so small it didn't sparkle. Also the shank is tapered and is about 3-3.5 mm wide where it meets the halo and then tapers down, but it just starts off too big, and doesn't look as delicate as it should. But it is still beautiful, but the pictures look better.

ring #2: The other Tiffany Legacy (1 sided pave)
This was also gorgeous, but one of the BFs friend's fiancees has a copy of this one, so I can't have it anyway.

ring#3: Another member of the Legacy collection, looks like the Ritani Endless Love RB
This ring was the favorite at Tiffany's and looked the best on my hand. It was a unanimous vote by the BF and the Tiffany sales reps. Also the shank stones look like small princess or asschers, instead of round

We didn't look at any of the pricetags, b/c we knew they were out of our budget, but the reps were so nice. One of them even complimented me on my ring...I thought he was referring to the one I was trying on, but he liked my Lagos RHR.

ring #4: Ritani Endless Love w/o halo (like Kayla/Butterfly17)
this ring is beautiful and it was my first PS love. But the last few weeks I've been concerned about a lack of sparkle in the pave shank. And well it didn't even sparkle in the special effect jewelry store lighting.

ring #5: Ritani Endless Love with halo
this is beautiful, but not as beautiful as the Tiffany version. Also the BF & I didn't like the sideview on my hand, b/c the shank isn't a complete circle, it has the opening under the diamond exposing the sideview and culet

ring #6: JB star
this ring was also gorgous and delicate and had tulip prongs, but still didn't speak to us...

get ready for the grand finale...
ring#7: Ritani member of the Masterwork Collection
this ring also had a tapered shank, but the center was prong set with teeny double claw prongs, very similar to the one I described in a previous post, but with a different side view. It is stunning and looks fabulous on my finger...the BF is quite taken by it. It is the one (unless he can find his card with the number for the other Ritani we saw 8 months ago, so that I can request pictures from ritani, b/c I can't find any anywhere...)

And our new love that we *both* agree on...We are looking at 1-1.2 ct center stone. The one we looked at was .75ct. The BF finally understand the importance of a halo and a not insanely large diamond...he''s so excited...very cute!!!

I tried on the JB star at BBB also and was very taken with it -- very pretty and much more delicate looking in real life.
