So my fiance and I are trying to plan our budget and estimate how many people may show up to the wedding. I am guessing we will be inviting around 160 to 175. About 25 of those people are my extended family who probably wont go because they never leave New York, where they live. My imediate family and my fiances family are all in MN, but my fiance and I live in Florida. We will be marrying in Minnesota. If we invite 175 people, including my extended family and some people in Florida; how many people should we expect on the wedding day. We just have no idea. Any ideas would be great. Thank you in advance!

I''ve seen articles that tell you to figure on anywhere between 70-85% of the total invited, so for your numbers, between 112 and 149. That''s a big range... I guess it sort of just depends.

For our list it was pretty easy to go through and guess who would attend, erring on the "yes" side if we weren''t sure. We''re just figuring on the largest we think the guest list could be, then if it''s smaller it''ll be a nice budgetary surprise
