Hair Trial Round 2

Had a frustrating weekend. I went to a new lady (friend of a friend of FI's...not doing that again). I understood that she wasn't going to do a full trial. She would just look at the picture I brought and play around with my hair. I went ahead and got her to do highlights because I needed a touch-up desperately. I could tell she wasn't getting close enough the root. I tried to hint to her that I wanted it closer. She talked the entire time and took forever. I was there for 3 and a half hours. I found a couple of orange streaks underneath the top layer of hair and could see plenty of dark roots. It looks fine on top, but not worth the money I paid. What is going on with my bad luck lately when it comes to my hair?? I am not picky at all. I am not a complainer. She started playing with the up-do part and it was looking better than what the first chick did. I think she could get it done with a full hour or so, but I don't want to chance it. I don't trust her now that she screwed up my color. Here is the outcome of her just "playing around" with my hair.

I've decided to use this other guy. He will do a free trial and he will drive to me. He will charge $120 on the day of. This is fine by me. I would end up paying that anyways. I just want someone who knows where they're doing.

I do agree that it is nicer then the first one.. maybe because its less "done"..
I like your highlights aswell, but then again i can''t see your roots..

finding a good hair dresser is one of life''s great misteries...

i agree, this trial looks great, do you have any pics from the front?

i know how you feel about the highlights. i absolutely hate when they don''t get close enough to the roots, and then you can see a line in your hair from where the brush hit the hair, like a bleach line. i find it usually softens out within a week though, but i know how frusterating that is because then you have to go back in and get it redone sooner. so annoying, it really is hard to find someone who is great at highlights!!!

She didn''t do much with the front. Like I said, she just played around with it for about 10 minutes. There isn''t enough wave in it like I want. I just don''t trust her now. I hated how she took forever and talked instead of getting it done.

I have another trial with the guy this Friday. I think he will do awesome.

Goodness! You have such beautiful long hair! You would think it would be easy to work with! Third time should be a charm, right? I agree, at least the second stylist was actually willing to replicate the photo, and could do it in an hours time. Good luck on Friday!
