My oldest got married two years ago. She had a tanzanite (three stone) and silver ring that she wore as her engagement/wedding ring. Last Christmas, I asked her husband if he would mind if I gifted her a three stone diamond ring I had purchased but never had sized down for myself as she might want want to wear it as her wedding ring. (I had a feeling because she often talked about getting a different ring once finances allowed.) He happily said he thought she’d love it. So Christmas morning, she opened up my gift and was over the moon! Best part? The ring that was too big for me was a perfect fit for her!

She came by today and I offered to clean her rings up. Then I snuck this shot. That’s when I realized how similar her tanzanite ring is to this diamond ring! Same split shank, diamond accents, and the detailing is almost identical! When I pointed it out to her, she said, “Well, I get my jewelry taste from my momma!” :kiss2:

Such a beautiful three stone and lovely generous gesture on your part to give it to your daughter! The style is very similar to her pretty tanzanite ring, you two do have similar tastes :) I hope had she enjoys it for many years to come!

Oh, how nice!! Great taste, ladies!! So beautiful, and sentimental!! I’m sure she’ll cherish both for different, but equally important reasons. ;)2

I bought that three stone ring in 2009, in a moment of “retail therapy” after my husband passed but never wore it as I was (at the time) a size 4.75 and the ring is a 7. It sat in my jewelry box all those years just waiting.... for her. :mrgreen2:

Omigosh, it's amazing how similar they are! So nice it worked out that way - the ring is gorgeous, what a special and meaningful ring for her to have as her wedding ring!

And I'm so sorry for your loss @ohsomethingshiny, hugs.

It’s lovely to be able to pass something to your child. Your three stones are beautiful and I can see why she has fallen in love with them. I also am looking forward to passing something to my daughter, and getting her jewelry for significant events in her life.

Y’all are so sweet! I was thrilled to be able to gift it to her.

And thank you for your condolences, @junebug17 and @DanDiAnDi. :kiss2:

What a beautiful ring, no wonder she’s thrilled with it.

What a beautiful ring..and how nice you were able to give it to your daughter. It’s amazing that they are so similiar. It’s like you were really buying it for her so many years ago..especially since it was her size!

I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband.. ((Hugs))

Beautiful! She's a very lucky lady to have you!

That's so sweet! I'm sure she was thrilled that you passed it down to her! Looks like it was meant to be!
