My oldest got married two years ago. She had a tanzanite (three stone) and silver ring that she wore as her engagement/wedding ring. Last Christmas, I asked her husband if he would mind if I gifted her a three stone diamond ring I had purchased but never had sized down for myself as she might want want to wear it as her wedding ring. (I had a feeling because she often talked about getting a different ring once finances allowed.) He happily said he thought she’d love it. So Christmas morning, she opened up my gift and was over the moon! Best part? The ring that was too big for me was a perfect fit for her!
She came by today and I offered to clean her rings up. Then I snuck this shot. That’s when I realized how similar her tanzanite ring is to this diamond ring! Same split shank, diamond accents, and the detailing is almost identical! When I pointed it out to her, she said, “Well, I get my jewelry taste from my momma!”
Here are her beloved tanzanite and “hand-me-down” rings...
