Has anyone owned a ring that has a small charm or stone dangling from it? If you have, could you please share your experience - wearability, comfort/annoyance etc?
Examples below from Shahlakarimi and katkim
Thank you!
To start, I’m tagging people who might have at least tried something similar on. If you think of others please tag them too! @Pomelo @Niel @Neptune @Rubies-R-Me @HollyC

:wavey:Hi mjea!
I'm so sorry but I have only seen and admired rings like this many times have never owned one. Hope somebody who has one chimes in soon to help you out.
I love the rings you posted! So pretty and just the right amount of dainty.

I have never owned one like this (this I think , many come and go through these doors lol)

I had an adorable ring (key term, had) with dangling freshie pearls and hollow gold beads the same size as the pearls. It was beautiful and I wore it all the time, but after losing two of the pearls and one of the gold beads, I decided to retire the ring. These kinds of rings are beautiful, but they do bash up against everything and they’re really delicate. If you’re okay to baby them and wear them really infrequently, go for it - but if not, I really wouldn’t!

Afraid I don’t have one either! I tried one on a long time ago but I didn’t find it practical enough for everyday use because the charm would move about and disturb whatever I’m doing

not sure if this would happen to the a ring
but i had a delicate braclete with a dangle

one night at work i had to help cash up
i got the dangle - still attached to my wrist, stuck in the cash register when i closed the drawer with seemingly no way to get free
a bit of mild panic till we remembered we had an emergency key to get the thing open
so as much as i love this style of ring. i know its not for me

I haven't, but your question reminded me that I bought my daughter this Tiffany ring back at least 15 years ago when she was in high school and they were all into the Tiffany silver. I went hunting for it in her old room and in the jewelry box I found it. Kind of tarnished after 15 years and honestly, I don't think she ever wore it. So I put it on for a few minutes. It's not my style at all, but regardless, I feel like the little charm really would bother me, just bouncing around all the time. Don't know that this is helpful, but thanks for sending me on the quest to find not just this, but some other interesting things in her old jewelry box!

I like the idea, however, the dangle would drive me mad in no time!

I would worry about losing the dangle too, so not for me personally.

DK :roll2::lol-2:

I have tried them on before but I think it would drive me crazy whenever the gem got flipped around into a non-optimal viewing position.

If I were to have one, it would be a small heart shaped pink red LGD on a plain band.

DK :))

Hi @mjea sorry I don't have one of these. The closest I have come to it is the Tiffany diamond by the yard chain ring. 9D7D0D90-FEDF-4683-A809-7C75568E0888.jpeg
Thanks @HollyC ! Are these comfortable and easy to get on/off? I’ve heard you get this in your normal ring size too but I’ve always wondered how it worked!

Thanks everyone (@Rubies-R-Me @Niel @AllAboardTheBlingTrain @HollyC @Pomelo @Daisys and Diamonds @Lookinagain @dk168 @distracts)for your responses so far! It’s very helpful.

For background, I’ve been wanting to design a pinky stack for a while now, kind of like a personal signet ring. I don’t have a symbol or family crest or shield to design around but I did want something that represented my little family but I don’t want to spend too much on this project right now so I’m keeping it small and we’ll see what future me might want to evolve this into.

The first of my stack would represent my 2 little boys. My two options are two heart diamonds (one a little bigger than the other) with their birthstones (red garnet and alexandrite) incorporated with their corresponding heart diamond (my birthstone is diamond). Something like this modified:

The second option for this first stacker is the dangle charm ring I mentioned from shahlakarimi but modified with two 3mm heart charms in their birthstones. She said the stones don’t move around much once the ring is on:

Oof but sure what to do! Both are fun and I love the meaning behind the ideas I want but I want to wear often. The charm ring will be a couple hundred dollars less. Hrmm
ETA: my oldest (6) likes the charm one “because the hearts are colorful and not just white” he def belongs in the CS group

Very comfy to wear. To get on and off, it's almost like a little shake of your hand. Mine was the correct size but I also gifted one to my sister and she went up a size because she rolled it on her finger which caused the links to twist which made it tighter.

Hiya @mjea, I just saw this thread.

I don't have one. Nina Runsdorf also makes flap rings.
