I''m looking for more information about people''s experiences with wedding receptions @ the Grand Island Mansion, Walnut Grove, CA.
- Did your guests from the Bay Area thought the site is too far?
- Were you able to negotiate waiving some fees off? (cake cutting, corkage fee, etc.)
- Was their wedding cake good? I was thinking of just getting 3-tier cake for 100 people and supplement the rest of the guest with sheet cake (total 180-200p)
- For a Sat eve wedding, I have to rent the whole mansion. The top two floors are bedrooms (v. georgeous). I''m thinking of getting some of the costs back by asking people who want to stay at the mansion to pay for their rooms. Is that tacky?
