this aspect of the wedding is freaking me out, from when the videographer, photographer and hair and makeup person arrive, to when photos are taken to the ceremony to more photos to the reception, and everything in between, how does this all come together?!

Well, I am really the WRONG person to ask.

My wedding is 5 weeks away and I still have NO idea how the day will pan out from start to end.

I think my hair appointment is 11am. NO idea a about makeup yet as I do not even know who is doing it for me. The photographer is only booked for an hour, for the ceremony and an hours worth of photos after. They will be meeting us at the venue. I would have liked to have a photographer for the whole day but we just annot afford it. We have no videographer, again, the ceremony will be filmed by my family.

I am starting to freak out wondering if everything will run smoothly though. I think there are people here far more qualified to give you the answer you need though! LOL

I don''t post here often but was browsing and saw your post - I made up quite a detailed day of timeline so here it is - even if your day is different it might help give you a place to start - my photographer really helped me figure out mine at first, then I tweaked it to get it just right. Hope it helps! Work abckwards from the times you know, like ceremony time, or time you have to end the reception (if you have a time limit) or whatever. Be sure to over estimate and add cushion time. My girls, Mom and I had our hair and makeup done pretty early (8am, for 3 ''maids one Mom and one Bride hair/makeup with 2 artists) so that we were all done by noon and could chill for an hour before the photographer arrived and the action started! And having that time made me so relaxed it was worth it.

My wedding was at 4pm, with the reception at the same location and no travel for photos etc.

Our videographer arrived at 1 with the photographer and stayed until 9 which was great!

This is also something I am really stressed about - one of my "to-do" items is "work on day-of timeline!!!" I think a big help, honestly, will be meeting with my photog to work on much of this - in terms of who needs to be where, and what time. She has done this so many times and knows the scenarios which work best. So, I would recommend talking to some of your vendors - and at the end, having everything on paper (include some "in between" time since the schedule never goes as planned!) and then distribute that itinerary to everyone.

merrymunky, good luck with your wedding timeline! i''m sure 5 weeks is plenty of time to figure it out

missrachelk, thank you for sharing your timeline. altho, it makes me nervous looking at it, so many details, hehe
