That cracks me up! These celebrities are told by their manager/ whoever is in charge of them to show up at these places. Then they put on the smile, ham it up for the cameras, pose with the merchandise, and make everyday people believe they are "endorsing" a product. I''m sure some of them left there saying under their breath " I would *never* not buy the real thing....."

Sorry for the negativity, I''m really starting to get fed up with celebritites lately. Their '' I-must-have-the-biggest-baddest-most-expensive-of-everything'' attitudes really bother me. Did you ever notice that these celeb women get million-dollar, 7-10 carat diamond engagement rings and then never actually wear them??? It''s just so they can say there''s is better than another persons, smile while wearing it for a couple of pictures, then put it away in the safe, never to see the light of day again. What a waste......

Also I heard that Jessica Simpson stopped wearing her engagement ring and I don''t blame her because the ring is ugly!

No, not a bad day, it just really fumes me! I know what you''re saying though, they feel the have to " one-up" the other people. I agree with you on Jessica''s ring, its almost gaudy looking! Her eternity band is very pretty by itself, and she is so petite, she looks funny when she''s wearing both the rings. Looks like she has an anchor on her hand, weighing her down

Yes, J. Simpon''s ring is WAY too big. It looks ridiculous! Even if I had millions to blow on jewelry, I''d be embarrassed to wear a stone as big as hers especially since I''m petite and any stone I wear looks bigger than it truely is.

I love it when stars feel confident enough to wear smallerish stones (like less than 3-carat). Recently, in a few magazines, I''ve noticed Sarah Jessica Parker just wearing a simple gold band while strutting about. Looks very Audrey Hepburn elegant.

Well if you notice, they all appear to be holding the same few pieces of jewelry. I would guess that they were included in those celebrity gift bags that are given out at the pre-Oscar, pre-Grammy etc. parties. So hey, if they're free I'd hold 'em up and have my picture taken too.
