and i''m now engaged!!!
here''s a synopsis on the wonderful proposal for those who are interested:
we were supposed to go visit his parents in upstate ny and he decided to take me on a small detour to one of our favorite spots near his family''s home - it''s an old victorian castle surrounded by gardens, hiking trails and amazing scenic views....this place is special to us and it''s where he took me when we first started dating...4+ years ago! here''s the link to the place in case you''re interested. so anyway, we get there and take some pictures and then sit down to look at the pictures we just took on the digital camera and after clicking through them...surprise! - there''s a picture of my dear bf (now fiance) holding up a sign saying "will you marry me?" i was in shock and stared at the camera screen for way too long...then he said some sentimental words (which i later made him repeat because i wasn''t paying attention) and then gave me my beautiful ring. he then told me that we had reservations at a hotel in cape cod for the weekend - at the hotel that we always wanted to stay at, but could never afford. during each of our 4 vacations to the cape, we''ve driven by this very hotel and admired it. and as if all this wasn''t enough...on sunday morning, matt told me he made reservations for brunch at our hotel and when we get to our table...my parents and his parents were sitting there to celebrate with us. it was such an unbelievable weekend and i can''t believe he pulled it all off without me suspecting a thing.
and now onto the ring:
i don''t have the cert or too many details yet...but the diamond was inherited and i know its 1.14 ct and the setting was custom made by a local jeweler in nj.
and now, without further delay....the pictures!
