I am so excited! He bought my engagement ring! I just typed the word "ENGAGEMENT RING," and its for me!! It''s antique and GORGEOUS! It needs to be shipped from the USA to Switzerland, and it needs to be sized so it will be a while before its ready- but he bought it!!! I''ve seen the pictures of it, and I cannot wait until I see it for real. Its perfect....ALMOST as perfect as FF is! I am so in love with this man and-AHHH- he wants to MARRY ME.

I can''t believe that this is happening. We went to the Christmas Markets in Zurich this weekend and talked a lot about the wedding we want and also about arranging for our parents, who live on two different continents, to meet. Thank goodness his parents speak some English!

I am so happy,and I am just going to sit back and enjoy the ride...nervously... and try NOT to bite my nails... they have to look fabulous when my antique sparklie arrives! As the days pass, it will be harder to stay calm, but today! TODAY!!! I am floating through the air!

Out of curiousity (from another who will have to deal with families on different continents), how do you think you will do the wedding? Where will you do it, for starters, and how did you decide? Congrats again, babe!!

Gwendolyn.... Well the decision wasnt so hard... the execution of it might be!!! LOL!

We decided since we live in europe, we want to marry in Europe. We have our eye on a castle venue in Heidelberg, Germany which we will visit over christmas to see if its all we hope it to be! Needless to say, it will be a romantic Christmas! LOL! it is about 5 hrs aways from us by train.

We want to have a few days of just close family and a few friends... 25 people at this ceremony and then make a weekend out of it. No proper reception with music catering, etc.... just a great sit down meal in a nice restaurant so we can talk and celebrate with everyone.

THEN!!! We want to have a proper reception in America about 2 mths later without ceremony (maybe an old hollywood theme!!) with photos from the castle dream wedding..... beginning point of the reception... "Ladies and Gentleman presenting for the first time on THIS continent... Mr and Mrs GLUECK!!"

AH!!! Big ideas!!! We are both in agreement about it, WHEW!! ... so I hope it works out.

Did you have some ideas about where to do it.? Its a tough decision.
