HE GOT THE JOB!!!!

After all of the suspence we just found out my BF's job ofer in north florida... and it was good! He just called me with the exciting news! He wanted to run it by me before saying yes, to make sure I was good with it.... and I am!!! So it looks like we will be moving! YEA!

Now if only I could get my pesky heart to stop racing.....

Oh... and does anyone know how to properly request for a transfer in a company? I've never done that before and I'm nervous!

Yea! That is exciting!

I would say the best way to find out is if you have a company handbook look through that and see if you can find the info you need. Then I would say go to HR and just ask. You want to do this right so I'd go straight to the source and usually the HR people are the best resource on things like this.

ETA: This should certainly help with those back from vacation blues!

Awe thanks everyone!!!! We are very happy (completely nervous) but really happy.

I talked to my boss this morning and he was very understanding and supportive. He even gave me the number of a contact of his in the North Florida office.

I have requested a meeting with his boss (chain of command) to let her know of my plans as well. I''m hopeing that she will want to keep me in the agency as well and help with a possible transfer.

I know that this will be an uphill climb for me with these budget cuts, but I am not moving until the beginning of September (I''ll move earlier of course if there is a job opening for me) So I am hoping that will give me enough time to get something lined up before me move up there.

The FF will be starting the job in the 19th. With training down here in Miami on the first week then training in Kentucky, Atlanta, and finally stetteling in the North Florida office. We will be long distance for up to 4 months which will be hard but we will be ok.

I''m excited about it! It is so nice that everything worked out. Just a few months ago we found out that law school wasn''t going to work out... and now he is in this amazing job! I''m so proud of him and so ready to start this journey.

Thanks for all the well wishes and congratulations. It was so nice to talk to you all when my thoughts were all jumbled up.

Next big thing???? Engagement!
