I''m going to warn each and every one of you that this is probably going to be long, so bear with me PLEASE!
BF and I have been talking about getting engaged (and looking at rings) for over a year now and ever since last year I''ve been hoping it would happen. Just recently we went to a local jeweler to see if there was anything I liked and I found a wedding set I fell in love with. As BF and I have had a peculiar year as far as finances go, we decided that it would make more sense (for us) to do things a little backwards and get the band (channel set princess diamonds) first and use that as the "engagement" ring and then I could "upgrade" to the solitaire just before the wedding (sort of confusing, I know - we''re planning on telling family that he wants me to help pick out the solitaire). So we went on Thursday to get the band, but apparently the store''s main location had pulled it along with others that hadn''t sold to be put in their vault, so needless to say I was bummed! The guy we''ve been working with told us he''d have to get it back and then we could decide for sure (like that was a hard choice)! So Friday he calls us to tell us it''s in and we go and purchase it, but then they tell us it will be Sat. before it can be sized, so I have to wait ANOTHER day to put it on my finger!! Well, we picked it up Sat. and the second we left the store, BF took the bag with my precious inside and said that he''d hold onto it b/c I couldn''t even look at it until it was TIME!! He went home and put it in our safe, but now I know he has it and where it is (fortunately for him I don''t know how to get into the safe!), but it''s torturing me to know that it''s so close, yet so far!!! All I can do is pray he won''t make me wait too much longer, I think I may just spontaneously combust!!
