The proposal story:
Saturday afternoon it was cold and misty outside, but not enough to need an umbrella. We brought our lunch and had a picnic on a blanket underneath some big oak trees in Memorial Park. Other than the zoo train passing by every few minutes, it was really quiet and peaceful. We had finished eating and just relaxing when the wind started to pick up speed and it felt like the temperature was dropping. I mentioned that I was cold and Ian sweetly and unsuspectingly said he had something that would warm me. I thought he was just getting up to offer me his jacket, and that is when it happened.
Supposedly there were animals there, but I only remember seeing sparkles.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDD now for what you came here to see.... the bling

Everything went misty and blurry as he spoke. Despite my best efforts to give a composed and audible "yes", all I could do was nod my head. The ring absolutely blew me away! It is soooo gorgeous and I never imagined I would have anything this beautiful. Then again, I never imagined I''d get so lucky to score a guy like Ian either. A few passersby congratulated us and then we walked over to the zoo.
