He Proposed with an Old Mine Brilliant!!!

My new fiance has kept me a lady in waiting until 2 days ago when, during out for dinner, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him
I have admired so many rings on PS, some amazing stories, have daydreamed and wondered what I would get as an engagement ring. I have always loved antique diamond and found one a while back on JBEG that stole my heart. Well the man of my dreams got me my dream ring an antique Old Mine Brilliant, and I am mesmerized by it, squealing and getting lost in it. He is amazing and I feel like I am the luckiest girl in the world!

I never would have guessed a K as it faces up very white and has so much flash and fiery

When I found it and casually showed him I didn't think anything would come of it, and then I was heart broken to see it sold on the website shortly after. He said the most difficult part was picking the setting, he wanted simple and something that showcased the stone.

I love their website for the videos and great pictures in natural light! I must have watched those videos over a hundred times! I just attempted to re-watch the loose stone in the jeweler tongs (cause that was my favorite, so much sparkle) then got distracted looking at it on my finger

I have to say that I am super excited to try out different wedding bands, I found an antique 1.50 ct french cut eternity band online, I just wish I could try it on instead of possibly having to buy it first (they are in NY & I am in HI). I have had my eye on a beautiful newer 2.30 ct cushion cut eternity band, but I think it might be too much, I want to compliment this gorgeous stone with out detracting or overpowering it.

Well we went for dinner at a restaurant that we had both worked at together and knew the staff well, the manager helped him out by switching the bottle of Meomi (Caymus) that we ordered with the Insignia saying that he had something much nicer for the evening, it took me a second then I recognized it and just looked at him and asked if that was ours from home, he was so giddy and with a cute grin said yup thats ours! Thats when I got the butterflies and knew what was going to happen...
