okay, found the specs from the GIA report

the ring is gelinabaci 18KW, the diamond is 1.07 carat,VS2, H, depth 60.2%, table 59%, round brilliant (this I don''t understand..does the brilliant mean any different from round?)
symmetry very good, fluorenscence none...

I have very large fingers (ring size 7 1/2) so wide band helps to hide it

I believe it's called a tension setting. As for the round brilliant question, I'm no expert but I think the brilliant may be the type of cut (as opposed to Hearts and Arrows or Eighternity (enhanced facet cuts) or those other types of round cuts)?? Any experts online that can help with this one?

'brilliant' is the type of faceting. Pears and marquises are 'brilliant' cuts too. It is the number and shape of facets that gives the 'brilliant' qualification, not the outline - imagine you would have a rope net knotted a certain way that you can wrap around volumes of different shapes. It is the way the net is knotted that gives the name 'brilliant'.

Adding a few facets here and there changes the name into 'modified brilliant' (radiants, and princess cuts are such). There are some round cuts that are not 'round brilliant' - some brand names with more or differently layed out facets qualify for that.
