Let me start off sayign my BF is tight lipped about this stuff and does not bring these conversations up, so the following is pretty significant progress and very exciting news, for me at least!
After dinner the other night with my BF we walked past DeBeers and he asked if they are the ones with the conflict diamonds. I quickly said yes and then realized that was not normal information for my boyfriend to be privy to, so had to inquire how he knew that and what had he been reading! He instantly got this big guilty grin that you get when someone knows you know something, but you can't say what you know! Like a giddy little girl, I couldn't stop playfully interogating him. I had a long day that day, but this perked me up and I think I was practically bouncing! He mentioned knowing the 4 C's, so I asked where he was reading and he was under lock and key! I told him I have good sites for him to read (hello PS!) and he said he had his resources. A few months ago when we talked about rings, I sent him a few styles I liked from various places, including Leon Mege (of course!). He said some of the pics I sent him had websites, so he looked there. I asked about Leon Mege and he said he looked...and I squealed! I kept asking questions, but wasn't getting anywhere and was told I'm on a need to know basis and these are all things I do not need to know! I asked WHEN I will get to know the answers to these things and he's really on lock down. I asked if he has a plan, a timeline..and he just smiled and wouldn't cave , which is better. He said he does like the ring style I chose. I reminded him that buying something like this takes time and isn't an instant purchase like socks or sweaters. He said he knew. I was really curious where he's planning on making this purchase, brick and mortar store or online. No caving there either. I'm happy I didn't get any answers from him and ruin my own surprise, but was so happy to know that he's finally looking! Just the teaser is enough to hold me over!
I posted awhile back introducing myself, and to catch you up, in March we talked about a general 6 month timeline to getting engaged, which is coming up pretty soon... very exciting! Thanks for reading ladies, it's great being able to share these little updates with you!
