Hello, I have an idea that I need a reality check on. It would be amazing if I could do this but honestly I'm not sure its remotely possible. I purchased a pear diamond ring for the center diamond. The ring itself is beautiful but I was hoping to have it reset into a vintage/antique style setting which is proving harder than I expected. Ironically I found the perfect setting I've been dreaming of but the actual center is a flower cluster. Is there anyway that a round cluster can be altered to fit a larger pear diamond?

Love to see a photo just like everyone else here. Amazing alterations are possible, but sometimes even the best jeweler has a difficult time making major changes look as if they were originally designed that way. It depends how much change is needed and how picky you will be with the end results. No one can know how another person will react to what they see after a change has been done. There is a danger factor to take on difficult custom alteration work.

Depends how the ring is built. Photos are a necessity!
