Can you remind us what your dress looks like and how you want to wear your hair?

I never like tiaras, to me most of them looked like a crown, just not me. But then when I had my dress on the at the bridal shop the lady helping me got a veil and headband and it just pulled it all together.

IMO, I think the best way to decide this is try the dress on and try on the veil with and with out a headpiece (tiara and headband).

ETA: Your dress is very pretty.

Caribou.

Thanks for the suggestion........

i''m not a tiara girl either. your dress is very elegant. i think you could do just side/top bun comb and a veil. once the veil comes off at the reception, you''ll still have something special in you hair.

I like the tiaras that look like they are more set in the hair, almost like a headband but with a bit of height...not too tall though...

I might have to do a headband...I really don''t want to look pretentious....with a tiara...
the question now is....does anyone have a site for nice headbands that I could get attached to my veils...?

If you think you might want a tiara, get a cheap one and and take it to your hair trial-run. If it turns out the style looks good with with the tiara, then go out and the "real" tiara you''ll wear. I don''t think they''re the most returnable merchandise so if you''re unsure, just get a cheap one from Claire''s or Icing for a trial run. Or ebay always has cheap ones. That''s what I did and at my hair trial we just couldn''t get it to look right with the hair style I wanted.

So if you need a practice one, I''ll send ya mine!

I love tiara''s, and I think it would go really well with your dress, and they make them itty bitty or as big as you want ''em, i think a little one attached to a comb would be lovely in an updo...what does your veil look like?

I ended up with a lot of 5 tiaras from ebay for $29.99 . . . 2 of them were kind of tiara-esque, but the other 3 looked like headbands, but still had the holes you could pin into your 'do. I found that the combs I tried didn't hold my hair very well because I have very fine hair.

Here's a pic of what I ended up with . . . not the best pic because I had to crop it and it's very low resolution, but you get the idea.

Here's a better pic straight on of the tiara.
