Happy new week all!
The Holidays are looming ever nearer, but there is still time to fit into those favourite party dresses if you put in a bit of extra effort. If you have been working hard and finding that your progress is so slow, don't forget to keep a close eye on the calories you are both eating and drinking, a little extra can soon add up to a lot as we know! Remember to make sure you are eating enough quality protein to avoid intense hunger and watch the carbs. Also look at the workouts and maybe change things up a bit, this really can help to keep it interesting and speed things up weightloss wise!
Don't forget with the colder weather it can be a good time to experiment with new recipes, soups and stews needn't be high calorie, I pack in as many veggies as I can with my stews and casseroles, things like tinned kidney beans can go well in these, not just for chili! Another thing I do is to chop up veggies such as potato, parsnip, peppers, onions, baby corn, drizzle over a little olive oil and roast in the oven. These are filling and nutritious. Once the veggies are cooked, sprinkle over a little sea salt and pepper, plus a little grated parmesan.
So there are lots of options for winter eating which needn't mean stodgy and high calorie. Maybe it would be good to share a few winter recipes and tips?
Have a great week
