What do you have when you need a yummy and healthy snack?

I''m crawling back on the weightloss bandwaggon and could do with some good ideas.

I like apple slices with a tiny little bit of cheese.

I like FiberOne bars but they sometimes give me, uhm, gastrointestinal discomfort.
Big Oranges!
Animal crackers, but not too often because I don''t need more carbs.
Sliced cucumbers and tomatos.
Dried cranberries mixed with nuts/seeds mix.
Sunsweet prunes.

I''m not really a raw veggies girl. I can only swallow them softer and warmer.

Bananas w/a little bit of natural pb (no sugar)
apples
a few almonds
cheese stick
carrot and celery stick w/hummus
air popped popcorn
pear
cherry tomatoes and broccoli
cucumber slices
orange

I personally like a little protein to go w/a carb. the protein keeps you full longer so like one cheese stick and an orange.

cucumber slices with hummus (or any veggies with hummus)
apples with 1 oz of cheese or 1 tbsp pb
Greek yogurt (Chobani peach is my fave)
medium banana
1 serving of almonds (go for raw to cut the salt)
100 cal pack of kettle corn or popcorn
cheese stick
100 cal pudding cup (or jello cup)
sugar free popsicle
fascicles

popcorn
salted rice cakes
cheddar popchips
veggies and hummus
apple and cheese or PB
cheese stick
celery and laughing cow cheese
dried fruit and nuts
dove promise dark:-)

laughing cow and peppadew peppers is a really unique (and awesome) taste sensation

I just love peppadews!

YUM peppadews. I hardly ever buy them, but they are good. I should get some when I go shopping this week

Cherubs (little tomatoes)
Cucumbers
Baby carrots
Apple
Strawberries
Cuties
Popcorn
100 calorie snacks

Wasa bread with mustard (yum!!!!) or PB if I can spare the extra calories
low fat or fat free cheese stick
sugar free jello
low fat cottage cheese
fiber one bar
cherry tomatoes
raw peppers
any fruit

Dried mangoes! I really hope those are healthy

The best ones, if you can find them, are from the Philippines. I used to have a roommate in college who was from there and she would always bring me dried mangoes when she went home. They were amazing.

I don''t want to ruin the fun but they are usually really fully of sugar and have quite a few calories for a small piece.

They are so yummy though!

Oh darn. Figures though - I''m drawn to non-healthy foods.

In that case I take back the dried mango suggestion.

I am a big fan of fresh fruit though when I''m craving something healthier. Love grapes, love Asian pears if I can get them, and grapefruit.

YUM! I love asian pears.

Our store didn''t have peppadews. Would buying sweet peppers taste remotely the same?

Definitely different, but still yummy. I say try it and see what you think

I really wanted a bagel today--my boss was eating one and it looked so good.

I compromised with rice cakes and a little cream cheese--different but it got me through (and I had enough calories left to have chocolate with my lunch

)

It tasted good, but I had to scrape the seeds out of each one. Do you have to do that with peppedews?

not sure, I get mine at the pickle/olive bar so they are alreayd seeded and brined.

I''ve never seen a raw peppadew - like bella, I always get mine in a deli alongside the olives (I''ve seen them at Whole Foods, Dominicks, and some specialty grocers) and they''re all ready to be stuffed with a bit of cheese!

-1/2 apple with a bit of peanut butter
-Air popped popcorn
-Celery (I don't actually eat the stuff raw (*shudder*) but my bf does)
-Tea w/honey or tea w/lots of soy milk
-Frozen organic fruit thrown into blender with Fage yogurt, flax seeds, and cacao

-My best trick when hungry is to drink a glass of water before deciding if I'm REALLY hungry enough to snack. :)

Mangoes
Baby carrots with light vinegarette
pickles
Special K cereal bars (only 90 calories)
Laughing cow cheese (35 calories per wedge)
Wheat Thin chips
Soy milk and cereal (I eat a bowl for snacking so this may or may not count)
Dannon light and fit yogurt

Mine:
apples
chicken - with a lot of salt! (not really a snack, but I loved cold chicken from the fridge to munch on during the day)
almonds
popcorn

these are my daily at work snacks...

light yogurt
mini light babybel cheese
bell pepper strips (1/2 pepper)
apple
kashi granola bar
