After seeing Mara''s post a loooong time ago about "bling bling cell phones," I finally got around to blinging my phone! My husband left for Vegas this afternoon, and I figured why not have some (good, clean) fun while he''s away? I told him about this trend a few months ago, and he said, are you Britney Spears or what???

Sometimes men just do not understand

. So I ordered the crystals and figured I''d wait until he was out of town so I didn''t have to hear any Britney comments while I was spending three hours gluing on my bling, lol!

What do you think? I decided not to do the whole entire phone because the dark parts are some rubber-like material and I didn''t know if the glue would actually stick to it, or if I''d be able to get them off that part if I didn''t like it. I''m rather pleased with how just doing the center turned out, though!

Thanks Kaleigh! It took me about 3 hours, with plenty of breaks--I was getting neck cramps, lol! It was a fun project. I have a couple hundred stones left over, and now I am looking for other things around the house to bling, ha ha!

Thanks Mara, for the compliment and for the inspiration! I''ll have to add this to the list of "enabler" purchases, ha ha! Yes, the back plate of the phone is all rubber as well. There is only plastic around the sides, so I think I''ll leave it as is. I like the contrast too, so I think I''ll leave it as is.

Cool. I like the sparkley look. How much depth does it add to your phone? I have a rather thin phone and I like to put it in my back pocket sometimes.

ID, I ordered the ss9 crystals, they only stand out about 1mm from the surface of my phone. I have a cell phone holder that matches my purse and I can still slide the phone in and out easily.

Ha, you guys are funny! I''d do your phones, too, but I would have to charge you and I''d rather see you spend that money on diamonds, lol! It cost me $12 for the crystals (400, but I only used 250 or so), and $5 for the glue through artbeads.com, btw.

I never thought I would say this but I love that! What a cute phone! I think I woudl get MAJOR eyerolls from FI if I did that. But men really just don''t get it. (He doesn''t get it that I want the sapphires in my e-ring replaced with diamonds b/c sapphires don''t sparkle as much. I get major eyerolls for that comment!)

I think after a few days in Vegas and being around everything sparkly my husband will be able to deal with my phone better. I''ll still get eye rolls, but I don''t care. He gets Vegas, I get bling, hee hee. I should say that I also roll my eyes at him whenever he buys a new power tool from Home Depot or a new fishing pole or whatever, so both rip on each other!

All the women in my office want to have a "bling party" now, and do their phones too, ha ha! The men in the office are, of course, rolling their eyes!
