hi charbie, i thought i would start another thread

FI and i chose to register at macys, we initially registered at williams sonoma as well, but found out they don''t have a return policy and i was afraid i wouldn''t want all the stuff we did register for so i deleted that, my shower is in a few weeks and i was shocked to see that some of my guests purchased some of my higher end items

we just used the invitations from michaels that you put together and printed out everything, luckily FI helped with all the assembly, he enjoyed it surprisingly, we used the wedding ring stamps for the rsvp and the wedding cake stamp for the invitation itself, you won''t believe how stoked i was that they had a 61 cent stamp with a cake on it, whoa!

i still need to get the bridal party presents, FI is taking care of his groomsmen, that''s a great idea for your party

FI and the guys will be fitting tuxes next week so i''m excited to cross that off my list
good luck with your invites and the flowers, don''t worry about it, i''m sure your florist will have tons of ideas and photos for you, have you searched for possible flower schemes, it helps to come with some idea of what you want so they can work from there, i came to mine with no ideas (this was months ago) and it was kind of a guessing game

we are still waiting for our rsvps at this point, we sent out invites out really early since our wedding is a little bit out of town, only waiting for 14 more!

almost started another thread but just replied on the other instead

our invites were designed by one of my dear friend''s boyfriend. he loves graphic design, so he made a wedding "suite" for me- they ended up being a tad expensive ($700 for EVERYTHING...but that means all of the stamps, all of the envelopes plus printed envelopes for RSVP, and 2 insert cards...and hand designed...can''t complain too much) but I''m not sure I could have done anything very pretty with the Michael''s invites. I was tempted though!

i can''t wait to start getting the RSVP''s back! we''ve heard from a few people after the STD''s went out that they can''t make it, but we''ve over-invited by about 40 guests, so i''m ok with hearing they can''t make it! is that terrible?

sounds like we are both on the same path- and thanks for the boost on the florist meeting. my mom knows him, he does the flowers where she works. but it makes me nervous because i have no clue how his costs are, what his work looks like, and how its al going to be, but i''m just going to grin and bear it!

ooh wow that sounds great about the invitations, i wish we could have done that, but we decided to go the cheap route and just purchase the invitations thanks to a coupon from michaels, surprisingly, everyone compliments me on the simplicity of it, oh well, they are out now, so no turning back, hehe

no i totally agree with you, FI and i were kind of hoping some people wouldn''t go, not because we didn''t want them there, but just because it was always my dream to have a smaller intimate wedding but our families are too big

flowers ended up being a little over $2000 for me, but i kept things really simple, nothing too elaborate, but again some people think flowers make a wedding while others don''t put as much into it, really depends

charbie! i just realized that you were the one whose FI proposed with a choc lab, i''ve always wanted one myself but i can''t adopt one until FI and i buy a house and that won''t be for awhile

got the flowers! they are pretty but pricey (1500, its more than i wanted to spend) but we have painted orchids on every table, and gorgeous modern design- i''ll get the pictures, i swear.

that was me he''s a bad dog now, but my baby none the less. love him to pieces, even when he tears up the down comforter and i have feathers all over the guest room, ie: this weekend. what a mess. but the cutest face you''ll ever see.
