Hi Everyone!! I''ve missed you all!! Its been so long, that I bet there are some of you who are like, "who is that girl?"

Well, ever since I quit my old yucky job (yay!!) and got a new fabulous one at Nordstrom, I have been computer-less. I am house sitting this weekend though and have access to a computer so I thought I''d say hello (shout outs to Albi and AmberWaves).

There is no new news on the engagement front, sadly. But, I have had my new job to keep me plenty busy and keep my mind off of rings and things.

However, my trip to Hawaii is now less than a month away!! At brunch this morning I asked my boyfrind what he would do if he won a million dollars today, and he said, buy a house and a car and pay off my student loans. I frowned at him. He just said, well maybe I already bought a ring already ...

I hope so! Maybe I''ll get it in Hawaii.

Also, I bought myself a computer this week. Yay! So hopefully I''ll be back to visiting you fine ladies (and a few gentlemen) and a more regular basis like I used to.

YAY I have noticed you''ve been gone! Especially one day when someone with a similar SN came on and it messed with my mind everytime I saw her name. I hope he has that ring for you it sounds like its a definite possibility! There has been a lot going on around here, people getting engaged a few have sadly broken up and it is very tragic! And then we have a girl who guy has been on here and then she showed up. Quite hilarious really! She is restrained to staying in threads we have all deemed "safe" where her boy hasn''t been.

Yay! Someone does remember me. Haha. Thanks so much for the update ilovesparkles!! Some of that news is great, and some of it isn''t. Yeah, I noticed yesterday that someone''s name is dangerously close to my own.

Haha, so funny story, yesterday, while I was watching the draft with my boyfriend, there was a commercial where the guy is talking about his beer can and his girlfriend thinks he''s proposing. I mentioned how I hated the commercial and my boyfriend thought it was soo funny. So I asked him, "What do you want to say if and when you propose?"

His answer? "Here." and then he says, "Here, you win."

Isn''t that awful??

K was telling me about one of his friends a while back. Him and his girl went to the jewelers to pick up the ring and he just ran in while she waited in the car I guess (weird huh?). Well he hops in the car and hands over the bag and just says "Well here ya go." WHAT!?!

Oh and how could I forget! You have been one of my favorite people for a truly silly reason hehehe. I live in MN but my boy lives just south of Seattle and so you are like there in the same state as him so by talking to you I am that much closer to him.

Ok I ROFL at myself now. But way back in march when I was out there I remember we talked about the basketball game because I don''t usually care for sports until others get into it. ANd there I was screaming about a team I knew nothing about but all of a sudden adopted for my boy. OK, must type my paper now, no more excuses! TTYL!

I remember that!! My poor beloved Huskies lost to the other Huskies in the NCAA Tournament. Well, I guess I''m happy that I make you happy. We''ll keep good care of your boy out in Seattle!!

And if my boyfriend had tried that "here you go" trick on me, I probably would have cried, thrown the bag at him, and opted to walk home.

Oh thank you everyone!! I am sooo excited for Hawaii and just as excited that you all remember me - I remember all of you. I'm not really 100% back in the Pricescope game, I have to secure an ISP before I'll really be back. But its only 2 weeks until Hawaii!! Yay!!

Oh, and by the way, I think you all are soooo fabulous, and its wonderful to hear from you all again (but scary that I've moved up like 40 or so spots since joining the LIW list.)

I really don't know how you manage w/o a computer. I was internet-less during my trip and totally went into withdrawal.

So my update is that I'm in love with an alien. We'd had an upset over the ring thing right before his defense a few weeks ago (my bad). So I was determined not to bring the subject up again before he did. But on our trip people from his company kept referring to me as ___'s wife, plus I have never seen so many jewelry stores in one place in my life!! So I totally crack and ask if he's torturing me or what? Of course I had to explain what I was talking about. And he just looks at me like I started growing extra heads like a hydra. My first thought is that he's totally forgot about the whole thing.
No. He thinks I'm crazy because of course I could talk about it all I want, why wouldn't I? After all his phd is over, so it naturally follows, right? (er what??? Hello?) He was baffled that I had managed to work myself up about it. And why would I be so frustrated over lack of control over the process? I swear it was like talking to an alien. Totally mutual incomprehension.

Although, alien issues aside, this is a very good thing. It's a little hard to complain about a guy figuring that our marriage is as much a given as the sun coming up tomorrow.

Again, good luck in Hawaii!

So, Seattle, if you think of it, which I doubt you will b/c you will be away on a romantic vacation, but it doesn''t hurt to ask --- my FF and I are planning to be married in Hawaii (away from everyone!!) and so I don''t know which island(s) you are going to, but if you find a nice secluded section of beach that is breathtaking, would you please clue me in?? The last thing we want is our wedding to be a public spectacle! Of course, don''t go out of your way or anything --- it sounds like you 2 have some celebrating to do

Oh! I know, this whole "no internet thing" has been a pain. I am at bf''s house right now, so I thought I''d check in. Plus, I have some news.

But, first I''d just like to say how wonderful everyone is here. Thanks for all of your well wishes and I return them to you all 100%. And sk8erjen, I will be on Oahu and a local is showing us around the more less-visited beaches, so I''ll keep an eye out.

Anyway, so it I know that the proposal won''t be in Hawaii. Sad. Oh well, I found this out when my bf told me out of the blue, oh by the way, Rachel (the jeweler we had been working with) is no longer at the store. Which means, if he just figured this out, he hasn''t talked to her in over a month. (sigh) But, today, we went in and met Aimee, who took over some of Rachel''s business and she was really nice, and we made an appointment for Tuesday because Kevin apparently asked her on Friday to get some radiants in. So a couple of 1.6 or so radiants are on their way to Seattle for us to look at. So that''ll be fun.

Anyway, don''t worry everyone, I''ll make it through Hawaii okay (I can still share pictures if your interested in seeing them.) My bf graduates from law school in June and is planning on taking a really cool trip in August or September, and I''m going to join him for a week. It looks like the trip is going to be to Italy so I am thinking, eventhough it means I''ll have to wait longer, Italy wouldn''t be a bad place to get engaged either. Stay tuned.

Seattle -- Italy would be SUCH a romantic place to get engaged -- I''d say highly worth the wait. But just out of curiosity, have you completely ruled out the idea of your guy having something up his sleeve? Guys have been sneakier than ever lately!!! Well, I have a fun update for you all ...no I still don''t have regular access to the internet ... I got to go look at an actual diamond that could be used in my ring!! It was absolutely beautiful ... a 1.64, G, VS2 radiant. This whole process felt much more real today after looking at it. We were supposed to look at another one, but for some reason, it didn''t get there before our appointment. We will go look at it on Thursday. I still don''t think its going to be Hawaii, but Italy is definitely looking like an option. I''m so excited, if he decided to get the stone we saw today, the ring will be absolutely stunning. Geez, its about time, he asked me to look at rings back in November!! Hence I''m #30 on the list.

No, I don''t but its so pretty!! Yesterday we went in to look at another one, G, VS2, 1.5ct radiant, and it just didn''t have the same sparkle. Ahhh! Its really starting to feel real!! I can''t wait to just be engaged already. I feel like even though I''m still young (23) I have waited long enough! We''ve been together for over 5 years now!

Seattle, have a wonderful time and those diamonds sound gorgeous...I can''t wait until my bf and I are ready to seriously start planning things, so good for you! That''s so exciting! Have fun in Hawaii~I was there in March (during their 40 something straight days of rain

) but I was on Waikiki and it was still absolutely gorgeous. We did have one day of sunshine when we flew to the Big Island for a day, so that was nice. Anyway, sk8rjen~I''ve heard Oahu doesn''t hold a candle to Maui but I''ve never been there so I can''t say. I''m sure it''s the perfect place for a wedding though. The 4 islands where tourists are allowed are Oahu, Hawaii, Maui, and Kauai (if I''m not mistaken.) The others are strictly natives and they''re not keen on tourists coming by. You might want to double check but I''m pretty sure that''s the way it is. Good luck!
