I found this magnificent site while searching for engagement rings last week and I am so glad that I did! 
My boyfriend has asked me to please begin narrowing down my ring choices so that he can plan the proposal. I figured that I would do most of the research and legwork myself, then present 4-6 rings for him to choose from. That way it can still be somewhat of a surprise for me. When we first began looking we started off at the mall jewelry stores(newbies who didn't know any better) and my heart just couldn't connect to anything. I realize now after reading through threads here that it's because those pieces are of such low quality. The salespeople there even tried to warn us away from purchasing a ring online.
Just wanted to say hello and that I look forward to learning as much as I can and of course, getting to know you all!
