Hello all,
I finally decided to join the LIW list as I've been hanging around PS for awhile now (mainly in RT and SMTB to ogle at rings).
I'm an Australian LIW - from Melbourne. BF and I have been together since early 2007, and wayyyy back in the early days, he said he wanted to marry me. He spoke about putting a big rock on my finger! The hitch was, he was separated and not divorced.
So, fast forward to mid June... we've now been living together for three years, and he recently received a decent redundancy package, and fortunately, has found another job, so he mentioned that we should use some of his money to buy me a ring!!! This led to me finding PS, getting in touch with vendors and am now waiting for Brian Gavin to complete my setting and send it to Good Old Gold to have my AVC set in it!
Oh, and BF's divorce was finalised on 17 July! So, we are in the clear on that front.
So now - I'm in waiting - waiting for the ring, and also for a proper proposal. I kept saying that he would have to ask again as it was "improper" for him to ask while not being divorced. I have also been telling him about all the amazing proposals I've read about on PS and the trouble people go to... but am not holding my breath for one of those. BF is not the romantic type, and would probably ask me while we were doing something totally ordinary and every day...
I must admit - I did get a bit jealous of one of my girlfriends who moved in and got proposed to after 4 months together. She's now getting married in 6 weeks. Happily, I am over my envy and am thrilled for her, but am now waiting for MY proposal.
